Never Forget About The Cross!

Wednesday, January 17th, 2024

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My brother, my sister, …

  • No matter what you go through in life.
  • No matter how many friends you make or lose.
  • No matter how many degrees you achieve or promotions you experience.
  • No matter how much the crowd cheers your name.
  • No matter how successful America makes you feel.
  • No matter how much money you have stored away in savings, IRAs, mutual funds or stocks.
  • No matter how anointed you think you are
  • No matter who brags on you or your abilities.
  • No matter what church you attend or who your Pastor may be.
  • No matter what storms you overcome or mountains you climb.

In spite of all these things, beloved, whatever you do, …

Never Forget About The Cross!

All that you have, all that you will have, all that you desire to have, are made possible because our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ suffered, bled, and died for us.  It’s the Cross that makes the difference in each of our lives.  It all starts with Jesus’ love for us.

God’s Love is Unconditional!

Tuesday, January 16th, 2024

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  You know God is so faithful to each one of us.  In spite of our unfaithfulness toward Him, He always remains faithful to each one of us.  Think about the many mistakes you have made.  Think about the sins you have committed.  Think about the places you were, the people you were with, and the things you were doing.  We never deserved the Lord’s love or grace.  We were consciously doing wrong, but He still spared our lives.  He still forgave us.  He still pardoned our sins.  Have you ever known someone who loved to bring up your past?  Every chance (s)he had, (s)he would tell everyone about the things you use to do, the places you use to visit, and the people you use to hang with.  This is a person who fails to realize the blood of Jesus has remitted all your sins … not some.

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  There will be times when we wonder if anyone understands what we are going through.  There will be times when we question the love and friendship of our peers.  There will be times when we wonder how genuine the people around us really are.  While these times will come, never question how much the Lord really loves you.  My friend, God’s Love is Unconditional!  The Bible declares in John 3:16 – For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  Outside of the Lord, who else do you know would give their only Son to die for you?  Who do you know that would give their Own life for you?  This love of God’s cannot be compared to anything or anyone.  Do you realize God gave Jesus to endure the cross for a people (you and me) that did not deserve it?

My brother, my sister, why are you acting like you deserved a second chance?  Why are you acting so self-righteous?  Why are you behaving proud and boastful?  We do not deserve what the Lord sacrificed for us, but He did it anyway.  Beloved, God’s Love is Unconditional! Unconditional means in spite of the condition things will not change.  The Bible declares in Romans 5:8 – But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.  Man’s love for us is based on conditions.  The conditions have to be right and remain right in order for them to love you.  God’s love does not change even when the conditions change.  You may wander away from Him, but when you sincerely cry out to Him you will find that same love restoring you again.  Prayer for Today: Father, thank You for Your unconditional love toward me.  I have not always been faithful, but You have.  I Love You because You first loved me.  In the name of Jesus … Amen!

Faithful God vs. Fake Friends!

Monday, January 15th, 2024

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever committed your life to helping other people?  No matter how extensive the request was, you did whatever you could do to help them.  Many times you sacrificed and went without in order for someone else to have.  How does it make you feel when people turn and question your motives?  Because of your love for the Lord Jesus Christ, you face more attacks than ever before.  Never would you have imagined your family and friends would turn on you.  Never would you have guessed people who smiled in your face were the same people attempting to destroy you.  One of the hardest things to overcome in our walk with the Lord is attacks from our brothers and sisters in Christ.  It’s one thing to be attacked by people of the world, but it is something different when a fellow laborer of the Gospel sends out an attack against you.

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  When the Lord dropped this devotional in my spirit, I began to think of all the people and things I had to fight off because of jealousy.  I never imagined so many people would dislike me because I have committed to living my life for the Lord Jesus Christ.  Do you realize this will happen to you as well?  It makes no difference if your ministry causes you to stand in front of the people or work behind the scene.  Attacks will come your way.  You often wonder why are people jealous of “little o’ me?”  Always know this: The anointing that rest on your life is what brings hatred … not you!  My friend, I would rather have a Faithful God vs. Fake Friends!  The Bible declares in Lamentations 3:22 – It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

My brother, my sister, there are times when you feel alone throughout this journey.  You often wonder if anyone understands you or what it is you are enduring.  They think they know you, but they really do not.  On the outside you are smiling, but within you are breaking down.  You love everyone, but for some reason people do not feel the same way about you.  Have you ever been there?  Are you there now?  You act like it does not bother you, but within it hurts.  You have the mask over your face acting tougher than you really are.  Beloved, at some point in your life you must desire a Faithful God vs. Fake Friends!  I know you hate being alone, but with the Lord Jesus Christ you always have a present help.  The Bible declares in Psalms 46:1 – God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.  Understand, you have a faithful God, … so why are you settling for fake friends?

You Are The Righteousness of God!

Thursday, January 11th, 2024

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  There are times in each of our lives when we find ourselves in the middle of a dilemma.  There’s pressure coming from both sides.  No matter what you decide to do someone will be upset with you.  While you desire to please everyone you know it is impossible.  The person on the right expects you to take their side.  The person on your left is convinced you will take their side.  What do you do?  Have you ever found yourself in this position.  Maybe you are stuck between a spouse and your family.  Maybe it is your job and your joy?  Could it be your vision and your doubters.  While everyone reading this may not be in the middle of a dilemma, rest assure you will experience it.  The more you strive to be like Jesus, the more you will experience attacks.  Keep striving!

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  The attacks will come from people, while you’re visiting places, and/or while you’re enjoying things.  Before you committed your life and heart to the Lord, there were no pressures.  Everyone was pleased with you.  They knew what to expect from you and when to expect it.  You were systematic in whatever you did.  Now that you operate in obedience and in faith, people always want to talk about you.  Have you been there?  Are you there now?  My friend, come what may … You Are The Righteousness of God!  The Bible declares in 2 Corinthians 5:21 – For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.  In being the righteousness of God, you must be able to make righteous decisions without worrying about your reputation.  You must be able to stand for and on the Word of God no matter what people say about you.  You must be trustworthy and full of integrity.

My brother, my sister, many people claim to be God’s child, but their daily walk does not compliment their words.  To be righteous is a lifestyle not a Sunday morning performance.  This must be you and you must be it.  Wherever you go, people should notice something different about you.  You should never lead the gossip in your office and then want to quote scriptures.  Beloved, You Are The Righteousness of God!  There are certain things you cannot nor should not be doing.  The Bible declares in 1 John 4:17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.  As you go today, make sure you are speaking and living the same thing … Christ!  Prayer for Today: Father, help us remain righteous before you.  In the name of Jesus … Amen!

Assignment From Hell!

Wednesday, January 10th, 2024

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever wondered if the people around you really were for you?  While everything is going good in your life, your surroundings appear stable.  No sight of any storms, no threats of turbulence, no severe wind blowing your way.  Everyone appears legit.  But are they really?  Have you ever worked alongside someone for years and you still discern deceit and manipulation?  Yes they are a Christian, but there’s more.  Yes this person appears friendly, but you have seen and experienced their other side.  Have you ever befriended someone who appeared genuine but now you are seeing attributes from him/her that were not there before?  Out of no where this person has become someone different.  One minute (s)he is laughing and joking, but the next minute (s)he is angry and making threats.  Have you been there?  Are you there now?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My friend, many people can see what the Lord desires to do in your life.  They recognize the anointing resting heavily upon you.  Just as people notice it, so does the devil.  he sees it and he hates it.  You must be careful who you allow in your inner circle.  While we are commissioned to love everyone, we are not charged to hang with everyone.  Some people are on an Assignment From Hell!  They have been sent to destroy you.  The Bible declares in Luke 22:31 – And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:  The devil himself has sent people and things against you.  It is not a coincidence that people act evil toward you.  No, no, no, this is all a part of the enemy’s plan.  he hates God and with that hate he desires to kill all God’s children … which includes you!

My brother, my sister, beware of the people who are on an Assignment From Hell!  These people are determined to see you fall.  Yes, these people even attend church.  Yes, these people are in your family.  When God blesses you, watch the reactions you receive from others.  Their reactions can reveal to you if they’re demonically influenced.  No Child of God should be jealous of another Child of God being blessed. We have the same Father and belong to the same family, which means we have access to the same Father and His same blessings.

Why Not You?

Tuesday, January 9th, 2024

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever wondered if your life was impacting anyone?  Have you ever wondered what God had planned for you and your life?  Currently, things seem uncertain.  The outcome does not seem promising.  So often in our lives we identify who we are, by what we are currently enduring.  Instead of us controlling our situations, our situations control us.  You have become a victim to your fears and anxieties.  Have you been there?  Are you there now?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  What do you do when you realize God wants to use you?  Do you attempt to run and hide?  Do you stand up and accept His will?  My friend, when God desires to use you, no devil in hell can stand against God’s will.  Are you trying to run from God’s will?  Are you saying, “why me Lord?  Well … Why Not You?  Why can’t God use you?  There is nothing in your past, present or future that God does not know about.  The Bible declares in Isaiah 55:8 – For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.  Before you committed your wrong, God had a plan for your life.  Before you acknowledged who He was, He had a plan for your life.  When you were in the world, God had a plan for your life.

My brother, my sister, Why Not You?  The Bible declares in Jeremiah 29:11 – For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.  You must grow beyond the concerns of other people’s opinions of you.  Someone will always question God’s plan for your life.  Someone will always be talking against you. Someone will always question why you and not them. Your life is in God’s hand.  He desires to use you.  Will you let him?  Will you stand for righteousness sake?  Thought to Remember: No one but Jesus Christ can get you into Heaven!

It Is Time For You To Forgive … You!

Monday, January 8th, 2024

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My brother, my sister, God knows you have not done everything right in your life.  He knows you have fallen short of His glory.  He knows you have a heart to please Him but sometimes you stumble.  He knows you care about the body of Christ and their needs but sometimes you are unable to assist as you would like.  He knows how faithful you are when it comes to paying your tithes, giving your offering, and sowing your seeds.  He knows you desire to do all the things that please Him.  My friend, the Lord knows.

Many times we go from day to day thinking the Lord has forgotten about us.  We battle depression and isolate ourselves because we think God has disowned us.  To the contrary, the Lord’s love is unconditional (agape).  His love is not based on perfect conditions.  He knows we will make mistakes but His love does not waver toward us.  He knows we have sinned and yet Jesus died for us anyway. There are times when we think God has not nor will not forgive us for the sins we have committed.  The Bible declares in Isaiah 43:25 – I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.  The Lord’s forgiveness has already taken place.  Beloved,

It Is Time For You To Forgive … You!

You made a mistake.  We all have made mistakes.  Understand, you cannot make the matter better if you do not get up and get back in line.  The Bible declares in Psalms 103:12 – As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.  Child of God, our Father has forgiven us.  Now you must forgive yourself for whatever you said, you did, or you thought.  The healing starts right there!

Heed the Warnings!

Friday, January 5th, 2024

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  So often in our lives we are faced with daily decisions that no one else can make for us.  Decisions that will either benefit or harm us.  Decisions that will make some people despise us and other people commend us.  Decisions that make our flesh uncomfortable but within our spirit we know it is necessary.  Life has a way of putting you in a position where you find yourself disliked by man.  Not that you are cocky or arrogant, but many times your stance is not the norm.  Many times your family, friends, and fellow co-workers do not understand you.  They think you act too serious.  Have you ever been there?  Are you there now?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My friend, Heed the Warnings!  The Lord will always send you a warning before you go in the wrong direction.  He will always make a way of escape from the traps set against you.  The Lord sees the snares sent against you.  He knows who your true friends are and whose really your enemy.  The Bible declares in Colossians 1:28 – Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:  Many times throughout our daily journeys, we assume we know a person well.  A day or week never concludes without us saying that famous phrase, “I never thought it would be him/her!”  Do you realize people are flaky?  Do you realize man’s opinions and ways are like the wind, they blow back and forth?  In spite of it all, you must still love them.

My brother, my sister, while we are charged to love everyone, God does not want us to become victims.  We must Heed the Warnings!  We must stand firm on the Word of God and discern the plots of the devil.  he will try to throw you off course.  Whether you believe it or not, there are demons, imps, witches, demonic forces that work for the devil.  They are sent to kill, steal, and destroy you.  Beloved, when you feel uneasy in your spirit about someone, usually this is a warning from the Lord.  God is a God of peace.  If you are not at peace about a person, a place, or a thing, the Lord could be warning you.  The Bible declares in 1 Corinthians 10:13 – There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.  Prayer for Today: Father, help me heed the warnings you send to me each day.  In the name of Jesus … Amen!

Never Lose Your Praise!

Thursday, January 4th, 2024

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever experienced hard times in your life?  Times that made you want to give up on life, yourself, and even God.  You may never tell anyone, but there are times when you feel like giving up.  You have tried everything and everyone, but nothing worked out the way you wanted things to.  You often question God’s love toward you.  Have you ever been hit by life’s uppercut?  Out of no where an unforeseen circumstance caught you off guard.  Maybe someone you loved dearly passed away.  Maybe a job you enjoyed was taken from you.  Maybe the friend you cherished walked away from you.  Have you ever experienced the bitterness of betrayal?  You have always been loyal to family and friends but in return you did not receive the same from them?  Have you ever been there?  Are you there now?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  I know how it feels to question life and the hurdles that come with it.  I know how it feels to wonder if the Lord hears your prayers.  I know how it feels to be betrayed by friends and even family members.  These are experiences many people cannot help you overcome.  These are the pains that the love and power of God must help you through.  My friend, in spite of what you experience in life, Never Lose Your Praise!  The Bible declares in Isaiah 61:3 – To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.  There is something in your praise, which enables you to handle the daily challenges you experience.  Yes you know the attacks will come, but because of your praise you feel empowered to handle whatever it may be.

My brother, my sister, what are you going through this morning?  What dilemma do you find yourself faced with?  Do you believe your praise is a weapon against the enemy?  Never Lose Your Praise!  The Bible declares in Psalms 9:1 – I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.  Beloved, when you are able to praise the Lord, in spite of your current situation, you are sending two messages:

  1. No matter what, you will trust in the Lord
  2. No matter what, God is greater than whatever you are faced with.

On today, when things become overwhelming, keep a praise down within.
