Just Two Questions

Tuesday, October 31st, 2023

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My brother, my sister, I have been summons to ask Just Two Questions and that is it.  Two questions that each of us must answer for ourselves.

  1. Are you operating in the favor of God or the fear of man?
  2. Are you willing to serve the Lord or are you worried about people’s opinions?

What’s your answer?  Prayer for Today: Father, help me to always walk in favor with a willing heart to serve.  In Jesus name … Amen!

Scripture Reading for Today: Psalm 30:5, Isaiah 6:8

If They Only Knew!

Monday, October 30th, 2023

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever wished someone else could be in your shoes?  People always act as if everything in your life is trouble-free.  For some reason people want to always compare their life with your life, their burdens with your successes, and their frowns with your smiles.  They think you never have days of doubt or nights of negativity.  “If they could only walk in my shoes” you often say.  Have you ever found yourself trying to tell me about the ‘hell’ you often experience?  No matter what you say or how you say it, they still do not believe you.  Is it possible for you to have your own problems but carry yourself in a manner that shows no signs of trouble?  Yes it is!  Many times we experience tragedy and turmoil but no one will ever know.  Why tell people who cannot help you about the problems you are faced with?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My friend, If They Only Knew!  If your family and friends only knew the nights you walked the floor with tears running down your face.  If they only saw how you fasted and prayed before you made serious decisions.  If they only knew the times you doubted yourself and the anointing God placed on your life.  No, things are not always wonderful but you have learned how to rest in the assurance of God’s power.  The Bible declares in Ephesians 3:20 – Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.  As a result of this scripture, you are now able to make it each and every day.  You have been assured that God is able to handle what you ask for and what you think of asking for but do not.  Who else can hear and respond to your thoughts?

My brother, my sister, If They Only Knew!  No you do not always have money in your pocket, but you know God will make provision for you.  Yes there are times when you worry, but you remind yourself of the promises God made to you.  There are times when quitting appears so easy, but you know God is up to something.  The Bible declares in Jude 1:24 – Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,  25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.  It is the Lord who is able to keep you from losing your mind.  People may never know what you go through each day, but make sure you never forget how faithful God is toward you each day.  Prayer for Today: Father, thank You for always working things out for me.  People may never know, but Lord I appreciate all You do.  In the name of Jesus … Amen!

Are You Available For Service?

Friday, October 27th, 2023

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Life is an amazing journey that each of us must travel.  For some the ride is smooth, while others think there are too many bumps on the road.  For some the sun shines at the right time, while others believe the sun shines too much and too bright.  Isn’t it amazing how one party can appreciate something, while another party complains about the same thing?  Do you realize the rain you hope will not come because you have plans, is the same rain someone else is praying for because they have flowers and crops that need watering?  Life is an amazing ride.  One person may think you smile too much while another party thinks you have a beautiful smile.  One person dislikes you while many other people love you dearly.  Do you understand where I am coming from?

My brother, my sister, this morning I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  While it is true that everyone will not appreciate you, there are still things God requires from us.  We may never agree upon our favorite recipes, our favorite songs, or our favorite outfit, but these things should never pull us away from each other.  The calling upon your life is not predicated on your singing ability, your cooking ability, your gift to close the deal or your many friends.  While that means a lot to you and me, this really does not move Heaven.  The calling upon your life starts and ends with the Lord Jesus Christ.  He chose you, not the other way around.  The Bible declares in John 15:16 – Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

With this said, allow me to ask you the devotional question for today.  Beloved,

Are You Available For Service?

Are you available to do what the Lord is requiring of you?  In spite of what people say or think of you, are you available for service?  Prayer for Today: Father, prepare me for where You are taking me.  In the name of Jesus … Amen!

Scripture Reading for Today: Isaiah 6:1-11

Thank You For Life?

Thursday, October 26th, 2023

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Do you realize this is the day the Lord has made?  Do you realize for that you have a reason to rejoice and be glad?  Do you realize many people have died before you who would love to be alive today?  Do you realize because you are alive this morning you should celebrate Jesus?  Do you realize life is a precious gift from the Lord?  On this day, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My friend, when was the last time you stopped and said, “Lord, I Thank You For Life?”  We must never become too busy that we cannot stop and thank the Lord for another day.  The fact that you are breathing is a reason to thank Him.  The fact that you are able to move your limbs, smell your breakfast, eat your meals, get from point “A” to point “B” is a reason to thank the Lord.  The fact that Jesus died for you is reason enough to thank the Lord.

My brother, my sister, for this today’s devotional, I want to challenge you.  I want to challenge you to stop asking for blessings at the point of reading this and take the time to look up to Heaven and say, …

Lord, Thank You For Life! (Psalms 50:14)(Psalms 100:4)

The same way you enjoy receiving compliments and words of appreciation … so does the Lord!  What you are asking for means nothing if you are not alive to enjoy it.  As my grandmother would always tell us, “If someone does anything for you, the least you could do is say thank you!”  Have you said thank you today?  Prayer for Today: Father, help me to always thank You before I start complaining and begging.  In the name of Jesus … Amen!

Scripture Reading for Today: Luke 17:12-19

Just Three Questions!

Wednesday, October 25th, 2023

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My brother, my sister, do you realize there are people who would love to see you fall on your face?  Do you realize there are things sent against you each day with the goal of destroying you?  Do you realize the devil is not satisfied with just causing you to have a bad day?  his goal is to totally destroy you and everything that’s connected with you.  Isn’t it amazing how people, places, and things change when your views on life change?  As long as you complained and worried about everything, you felt as if everything and everyone was fighting against you.  When you began to see things through the eyes of the Spirit, you begin to see and understand how powerful the Lord really is in your life.

Today, I want to ask you three questions.  These three questions are here to get you to think about your life.  Beloved, …

  1. Are you the victim of a defeated spirit or the victor by the Holy Spirit?  The answer will determine if you spend more time depressed about life and this world or focusing on the victory of Jesus.  (1 John 4:4)
  2. Are you seeing things according to God’s Word or according to this world? The answer will determine where you are in life and where you are headed next.(Psalms 119:105)
  3. Are you preparing yourself for where God is taking you or are you waiting to see results first?  The answer will determine if you truly walk by faith or by sight.(Hebrews 11:6)

Let No One …

Tuesday, October 24th, 2023

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  My brother, my sister, many times as we go through our daily task, circumstances, and situations present themselves.  Whether you are prepared for them or not, they will still arise.  Depending upon your mindset, the unforeseen circumstances could be the difference between overflow and overwhelmed.  You may not agree with me but circumstances and situations have a way of pushing you closer to God and His Word.  On a day-to-day basis, many of us face tough decisions at work, financial decisions at home, emotional decisions within our marriages and relationships, mental decisions resulting from death, sickness or change, academic decisions surrounding our education, etc.  Each day we find ourselves having to make choices that we would love to avoid.

Can you relate to the above?  If no, please forgive me for wasting your time.  If yes, this morning I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My friend, the Lord has sent me with a “right now” word for you.

LET NOTHING NOR NO ONE STEAL FROM YOU (John 10:10)!

Let nothing nor no one steal your joy, your peace, your anointing, your love for others, your character, your faith, your hope, your dreams, your vision, your integrity, your plans, your goals, your day, your blessings, your increase.

It Really Works!

Monday, October 23rd, 2023

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever had someone tell you things would not work out for you and your family?  With no remorse or hesitation they looked you right in the face and said things would never get better.  No guilt, no forgiveness, and no sympathy, this person spoke negativity into your life.  How amazing it is for people to speak into you what they rebuke people from speaking into them.  How amazing it is that we rebuke anything that looks like the devil but at times we can behave in the same manner.  How can someone tell you things can never get better, especially knowing you are a child of God?  Have you ever desired to give up but within your spirit you knew it was not over yet?  Your surroundings appeared dark and bleak but you knew God was up to something.  No one else could see it or believe it but you knew it to be true.

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  Do you understand the Word of God is powerful?  Do you understand God speaks heavily to His people through His Word?  Do you understand the Word of God is authoritative, as well as infallible (without error)?  No matter what other religions teach, there is only one word you should stand upon and that is the Word of God.  The Bible declares in Hebrews 4:12 – For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.  My friend, It Really Works!   What?  The Word of God … that’s what!  No matter where you find yourself in life, the Word of God is a road-map.  No matter how bad you feel about current circumstances, the Word of God is comforting.  No matter what the doctors tell you, the Word of God gives the final word.

My brother, my sister, what are you dealing with today?  What situation or dilemma do you find yourself faced with this morning?  Have you taken it to the Lord in prayer?  Have you totally released it to the Lord?  Are you standing on the Word of God?  Beloved, It Really Works!  The Bible declares in Proverbs 30:5 – Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.  It matters not what your friends and loved ones think, if the Word of God declares it … watch God bring it to pass.  As you go forth today, remember this one important thing: The Word of God will work … if you work it!

A NEW MINDSET!

Friday, October 20th, 2023

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  Are you seeking promotion on your job?  Are you seeking increase in your bank account?  Are you seeking overflow in your ministry?  Are you desiring more than enough?  Have you grown tired of the same thing, the same way, day after day?  Are you requesting double for your trouble?  Are seeking new employment?  My brother, my sister, all of these things are very possible with the Lord.  This I know to be true.  However, many times we miss our promotion, our increase, our overflow, our desires, our newness, and our double because of our old way of thinking.  Until you allow the Word of God to transform your thought process, you will always find yourself in deep trouble.  The Bible declares in Romans 12:2 – And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Beloved, it all starts with …

A NEW MINDSET!

That which you are believing God for is there, but your mindset must be changed to receive it.  You cannot speak about freedom but maintain a slaves mindset.  Your words and your thoughts must compliment one another.  As you proceed today, ask God to give you a new mindset to begin to think about things the way He does.  If your mindset was better, would the job be that bad?

Without Faith

Thursday, October 19th, 2023

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever had someone tell you your faith was ridiculous?  Because of your unwavering belief and trust in the Lord, someone had the nerve to tell you God would not do that for you.  Just because they could not see it happening in their life, now they’re trying to discourage you from believing.  Have you ever shared your dreams with someone and later wished you never opened your mouth?  Your excitement pushed you to share with others but as time went out you realized everyone was not as happy about it as you were.  Whether it was jealousy, animosity, or disbelief, for some reason this person did not have the same excitement as you.  Have you ever known someone who always focused on the negative?  Whenever God blessed you with something, this person always came around to question how you would be able to maintain it.  You get a new car, they wonder how are you going to pay the car note each month?   Have you been there?  Are you there now?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My friend, do you realize Without Faith you cannot do anything in life?  The Bible declares in Hebrews 11:6 – But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.  No matter what you attempt to do in your life, if you do not have any faith in God it will not work.  It does not matter if others around you believe in it or you.  Do you have the faith to believe?  Everywhere you go in life there will always be someone there to question you.  The enemy will always send a person, a place, or a thing to try altering your steps.  Be not deceived, everyone who smiles in your face today will not be there tomorrow.  Some are here on an assignment from hell.  There sole purpose is to attack and try to destroy you.

My brother, my sister, do you realize Without Faith you cannot do anything in life?  The Bible declares in Matthew 17:20 – And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.  Beloved, before you share your next God-given assignment with someone make sure they have the faith to believe with you.  Do not share your personal goals with carnal people.  Do you realize, the enemy’s tactics have not changed.  According to John 10:10 – The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy

TRUST HIM !!!

Wednesday, October 18th, 2023

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  This morning as I was listening to the Lord speak to me, He instructed me to tell His people something very important.  No matter how things appear, or how you feel, or what others have said, or how negative it looks now, or if no one else believes it can get better, the Lord told me to tell you to…

TRUST HIM !!!

That’s it.  That’s the word from the Lord for today.
