It’s Prayer Time

Friday, December 22nd, 2023

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  This morning, I have been commissioned to come and pray for you.

Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray for the recipient of this morning’s devotional.  I do not know what (s)he is faced with today, but You know.  However, under the power of the Holy Spirit I declare that no weapon formed against my brother/sister will be able to prosper.  I speak life into his/her spirit in the name of Jesus.  Whatever dilemma (s)he faces today, I speak peace.  Whatever drama surrounding him/her, I speak resolution.  Whatever doubt consuming him/her, I speak increase in faith.  Lord there is nothing too hard for You to handle.  All that we have experienced, are experiencing or will ever experience can never overwhelm You.  I pray for financial increase for my brother/sister.  I pray for good health in his/her body.  I pray for Godly wisdom, Godly knowledge and Godly understanding to become his/her best friend.

Whatever (s)he stands in need of, Father according to Your will, bring it to pass.  I serve notice on the devil and every demonic force that operates under his authority, that my brother/sister shall not die but live to declare the glorious works of the Lord Jesus Christ.  devil you are a liar and you are a defeated foe.  God rebuke you devil in the name of Jesus.  Loose my brother’s/sister’s mind.  Take you hand off of his/her household.  The purpose of God for my brother’s/sister’s life shall come to pass in the name of Jesus.

Now God, be glorified, let my brother/sister be edified and make the devil terrified, in the name of Jesus … Amen!

Get Rid Of The Dead Weight!

Wednesday, December 20th, 2023

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My brother, my sister, today it is time for you to do what you know needs to be done.  Today it is time for you to do what you have been thinking about for your years.  Today it is time for you to obey the voice of the Lord.  Today it is time for you to make the decision.  Today it is time for you to experience liberty (freedom).  Today it is time for you to …

Get Rid Of The Dead Weight!

(You know who it is, what it is, where it is, why it is there, how long it has been there, what you must do to get rid of it.)

Prayer for Today: Father, remove every person, place, or thing away from me that should not be there.  In return, replace it with the people you want in my life, the places you want me to go, and the things you want me to do.  In the name of Jesus … Amen!

If All You Had Was A Praise …

Tuesday, December 19th, 2023

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever found yourself pressed between a rock and a hard place?  Things were at a crucial point in your life.  You were too far in to be out, but too far out to be in.  Turning back was impossible and going forward appeared impossible.  You can remember the days when everything seemed to be going your way.  You were coasting along the way.  No attacks, no threats, no unforeseen circumstances, no dilemmas.  Have you ever felt empty within?  You had many people surrounding you but within you still felt a major void.  You had the nice clothes, drove the nice car, ate at the nice restaurants, hung out with the best people, and traveled to the best places.  In spite of it all, you still was not happy within.  Have you ever been there?  Are you there now?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  Are you at a point in your life where you wonder if God can still use you?  Are you a point where no one else believes in your dreams but you?  Are you staring at yourself in the mirror trying to figure out why people cannot see the changes in your life?  Do you realize there will be times in each of our lives that people will doubt, family will question and the devil will attack?  There will be times when all you have to trust in is the Word of God.  My friend, If All You Had Was A Praise … would it be enough to get you out of your current situation?  The Bible declares in Isaiah 61:3 – To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

My brother, my sister, what are you going through this morning?  What situation do you find yourself having to deal with?  Has your job become overwhelming?  Do you realize when you praise God in the midst of “hell” you are sending a message to the enemy?  You are telling him that in spite of how bad things appear your God is still able and willing to see you through.  Beloved, If All You Had Was A Praise … could it tear down the enemy’s walls?  The Bible declares in Hebrews 13:15 – By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.  Child of God, never underestimate the power of your praise.  It is the praises of the saints that empower us.  God inhabits our praises. If All You Had Was A Praise … make sure it can get you through!  Prayer for Today: Father, please make my praise gloriously for You!  In the name of Jesus … Amen!

Have You Stopped Pursuing?

Friday, December 15th, 2023

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever felt like giving up on life and all the demands that come with it?  After all you have done it still seems as though things have not gotten better for you.  You treat everyone well but storms still knock on your door.  You pray for those who despitefully use you, yet the attacks continue to mount against you.  You always offer words of encouragement to those around you, but when you need them the most there are no words coming your way.  Have you ever wondered why you keep going when everyone else has given up?  When you started out you were surrounded by people and things.  As the journey continued many people did not.  You went from being in the crowd to being all alone.  Have you ever been there?  Are you there now?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  I know how it feels to want to give up on your ministry, your life, your goals, and your future.  I know how it feels to have more questions than answers, more problems than solutions, and more haters than supporters.  Quitting is easy but fighting can be very difficult at times.  In spite of these times I also know how it feels to know God has not forgotten about me.  The same God who keeps me on His mind, is the same God who keeps you on His mind.  My friend, Have You Stopped Pursuing?  Have you allowed the cares of life to weigh you down.  The Bible declares in Philippians 3:13 – Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

My brother, my sister, what are you dealing with today?  What dilemma do you find yourself in the midst of?  Have you allowed your job, your bills, your enemies, your family members, and friends to overwhelm you?  Beloved, no matter how awful things appear at this point in your life, you must not lose your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.  It is during the tough times of life that you will see the hand of God moving on your behalf.  The Bible declares in Psalms 46:1 – God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.  Have You Stopped Pursuing?  Have you thrown in the towel?  Have you walked away from the assignment God anointed you for?  If so, repent and return.  If you are thinking about it, seek first the kingdom of God.  If no, hold on things will turn for the better.  Prayer for Today: Father, please help me hold on when things become hectic.  Help me see You in everything.  In the name of Jesus … Amen!

Are You In Need Of A Tune-Up?

Thursday, December 14th, 2023

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My brother, my sister, may I ask you a question?

Are You In Need Of A Tune-Up?

Have you allowed yourself to go on without receiving proper check-ups?  Have you allowed yourself to become overwhelmed by the daily demands?  Have you forgotten how to take time to rest and relax?  Have you become so busy that you are no longer operating according to God’s plans?  Have you become occupied with church work (routine services, traditional programs) until you have forgotten about the work of the church (leading people to Jesus)?  Has your spirit stopped being willing?  Have you forgotten Jesus in all that you do?

Today, you must find out if you are overdue for your next tune-up!

Scripture Reading for Today: Hebrews 4:12

Are You

Wednesday, December 13th, 2023

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  When was the last time you told someone about the goodness of Jesus Christ?  When was the last time you testified about the many wonderful things God has done for you?  When was the last time you thanked the Lord for being there for you?  When was the last time you did what the Lord said without trying to negotiate or bargain?  When was the last time you opened your Bible and read God’s Word?  When was the last time you replaced your complaining with praise?  When was the last time you said “Yes” to God’s will and “No” to your flesh?  Many times in life, we become bombarded with life’s daily demands.  We find ourselves overwhelmed with daily tasks that pull us further and further away from what really matters.  Have you ever been there?  Are you there now?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  When was the last time you rebuked yourself from thinking God owed you something?  I know it is easy to get caught up on “you” but be not deceived.  This is not about you.  This is all about the Lord Jesus Christ (Colossians 3:17).  Allow me to ask you a very serious question.  My friend, Are You truly on the Lord’s side?  No matter what happens, are you truly committed to serving the Lord?  Come what may, are you willing to stand on the Word of God.  The Bible declares in James 1:8 – A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.  There are so many people who desire to serve the Lord with stipulations.  These are the people who say, “Lord I will do this, if you do this!”  This Christian journey is far from easy.  It is not a bed of roses but obeying God makes it easier.

My brother, my sister, Are You persuaded that nothing shall be able to separate you from the love of God (Romans 8:38-39)?  There will be days when you will feel alone.  There will be nights when you wonder if anyone still cares.  During these times you must be certain that your life rests in the hands of Almighty God.  The devil will do his best to detour you off course.  he will try to make you curse God.  The Bible declares in Romans 4:21 – And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.  Beloved, your relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ must grow further than lip service.  Your mouth should speak what your heart leaks.  If Jesus is in your heart your mouth will always speak of Him.  Are You on the Lord’s side?  If not, there is still time for you!  My Prayer for You: Father, help my brother/sister to fully submit his/her life over to You.  In the name of Jesus … Amen!

Stop It!

Tuesday, December 12th, 2023

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever felt all alone in this crowded world?  For some reason you felt as if life was determined to rob you of everything.  It seemed as if everyone was out to destroy you.  Everything you touched seemingly fell apart.  Have you ever found yourself mad at God because you felt life dealt you a bad hand?  The plans you had for your life were interrupted by unforeseen circumstances.  Your dreams and aspirations appear threatened and you feel its all God’s fault.  You will never publicly say it, but within you are angry with the Lord.  Have you ever made a mistake and blamed God for making this Christian journey so difficult?  Everything was going great but you committed one mistake and now everyone is condemning.  Have you ever been there?  Are you there now?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  I know how it feels to wonder where God is and if He still cares for you.  I know how it feels to serve the Lord with your whole heart but you were lacking in many areas.  I know how it feels to see the unsaved and unrighteous enjoying “bountiful” blessings while you are struggling from week to week.  I know how it feels, but I also know how it feels to see the Lord move on my behalf.  Many times we make the mistake of comparing our lives with the lives of those around us.  If they have more than us, we conclude that they’re blessed and we are not.  My friend, Stop It!  Stop living your life through the eyes of other people.  God is able to bless me and still have enough to bless you as well.  The Bible declares in Ephesians 3:20 – Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.

My brother, my sister, what makes you think your blessings are based on materialistic possessions?  There are many dead people who possesed materialism.  The fact that you are alive this morning makes you blessed.  The fact that you have health and strength (whether you are as healthy as you want or not) makes you blessed.  The Bible declares in Psalms 34:1 – I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.  Beloved, we displease God when we spend our days and nights pointing out what someone else has and we do not.  Stop It!  Stop trying to manipulate the Lord.  Stop trying to make the Lord feel guilty.  Just because someone gets their prayer answered first does not mean the Lord has not heard your request.  Can you praise God when someone gets blessed?  Prayer for Today: Father, forgive me for life-comparing with others.  Thank You for all You have done, are doing and will do in my life.  I love You!  In the name of Jesus … Amen!
