Do Not Be Fooled By Things!

Wednesday, September 20th, 2017

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  In spite of how bad things may have been in your life, it is great to be a child of God.  Even when there appears to be more problems than solutions, more questions than answers and more tears than smiles, its still great to be a child of God.  No more what other people say or think about you and your personal walk with the Lord, it is great to be a child of God.  So often in life we define how blessed we are by the materialistic possessions we enjoy each day.  The more we have, the more blessed we think we are.  To the contrary, the reason we are blessed is not because we have many things.  No, no, no!  We are blessed because of our relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.  The things come as a result of our relationship with Jesus.

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My friend, Do Not Be Fooled By Things!  Today you can have many things and tomorrow you could be begging.  Today you can be driving the best, but tomorrow you could be hoping to catch a ride.  Today you can be dressing in the famous styles, but tomorrow you could be borrowing from someone else.  The Bible declares in Matthew 6:33 - But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.  The material things we enjoy are defined as the ‘things that shall be added unto you.’  They only come when you seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.  Many people are living with no understanding of God’s blessing system.  The blessings come through intimacy with the Lord, not through separation from the Lord.

My brother, my sister, Do Not Be Fooled By Things!  You must be very careful to make sure you do not become fooled by things.  Many people enjoy things so much until they begin to worship the gift (idol) and not the Giver of the gifts.  The Bible declares in Exodus 20:3 - Thou shalt have no other gods before me.  Beloved, have you become consumed by things?  Are you doing whatever it takes to possess more things?  You must remember, as quick as you get it, can be as quick as you lose it.  Be not deceived, there will never be any thing more important than the Lord Jesus Christ.  Prayer for Today: Father, forgive me for ever becoming consumed with the possessions of life.  Allow my heart and mind to always long after You.  In the name of Jesus … Amen!

A Blessed People!

Tuesday, September 19th, 2017

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My brother, my sister, do you realize we are A Blessed People?

  • No matter what we see on television or read in the paper, we are A Blessed People!
  • No matter what the stereotypes and statistics say, we are A Blessed People!
  • Even when people turn their backs on us, we are A Blessed People!
  • In spite of the trials and tribulations we face in life, we are A Blessed People!
  • In spite of all the negative rumors you heard against you, we are A Blessed People!
  • Even when your current situation does not compliment the promise God made you, we are A Blessed People!
  • When it seems as if you have more going against you than for you, we are A Blessed People!
  • When people laugh in your face and mock your belief in God, we are A Blessed People!
  • When no one believes in your vision, we are A Blessed People!
  • When your flesh desires to quit but your spirit will not give up, we are A Blessed People!
  • When people walk away during the lowest points of your life, we are A Blessed People!

Why are we a blessed people?  We are blessed not because of the materialistic possessions we have.  Not because of temporary things we own.  We are blessed because through all that we have been through God is still on our side.  This is the reason we are A Blessed People!  After all we endured in life, God stayed when no one else did.  He comforted us when no one else could be found.  Beloved, we are blessed like that!

Take No Thought For Tomorrow!

Monday, September 18th, 2017

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Do you realize how blessed you are today?  Do you understand God has His hand upon your life?  Do you understand the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord?  Can you see how the Lord continues to orchestrate events in your life?  Just think about the many doors of opportunity God continuously allows to open for you.  You did not think it was because of your educational background … did you?  Please do not be mistaken, the Lord does not bless us based on the accolades man looks for.  God can use and bless a person with no degree and no formal education.  He can birthed His Word within this person’s spirit like never before.  The things man seeks after often times are not the things God focuses on.

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My brother, my sister, Take No Thought For Tomorrow!  Everything you will ever need God has and will make provision for you.  The Bible declares in Matthew 6:25-26 - Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?  Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?  The same God who provides for the needs of birds, who do not sow, is the same God who will make greater provision for you.  My friend, you must never depend on your connections and degrees to do what only the Lord is able to do for you.

Many people fall victim to worry because they focus on what is needed for tomorrow, while never enjoying the time they have right now.  Believe me, tomorrow’s bread has been supplied.  The daily bread and anointing you need to face and endure tomorrow has been made available for tomorrow.  Do not ruin today worried about tomorrow’s concerns.  Take No Thought For Tomorrow!  The Bible declares in Matthew 6:31 - Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.  Beloved, remember this: Today is the day you worried about yesterday and tomorrow will be today in due time.

Do You Believe?

Friday, September 15th, 2017

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  I have been charged to find out what it is you believe.

  • Do you believe God has something special in store for you?
  • Do you believe the Lord has a specific assignment with your name on it?
  • Do you believe the Lord desires to use you for His glory?
  • Do you believe today will be better than yesterday?
  • Do you believe prayer is the key and faith unlocks the doors?
  • Do you believe repentance comes before receiving?
  • Do you believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God?
  • Do you believe you can make it into Heaven without confessing Jesus as Lord and Savior (hint: there’s only one way to Heaven and it’s through Jesus Christ)?
  • Do you believe satan is a defeated foe?
  • Do you believe the Lord has the final word, no matter what the doctors say?
  • Do you believe by Jesus stripes you are healed?
  • Do you believe people are determined to see you fall?
  • Do you believe you can overcome every trap and snare sent against you?
  • Do you believe you are the head and not the tail, above and not beneath?
  • Do you believe you are a lender and not a borrower?
  • Do you believe you are blessed in the city and blessed in the field?
  • Do you believe God can take your mess and mold it into greatness?

My brother, my sister, in spite of what others say, Do You Believe?

Are We Connected?

Thursday, September 14th, 2017

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  There are times in each of our lives that we must evaluate the people surrounding us.  While we love to have people within our inner circle, it is imperative for us to make sure each person around me has been placed there by God and not because of my fear of being alone.  In life there will be times when you will experience lonely periods, as well as discomfort from within.  You will desire to do the same things you were able to do before but your spirit man will reject it.  During the times when your spirit is willing but your flesh is weak, you must make sure the people around you are such that they can uplift you in prayer and not encourage you to sin against God.

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My friend, it is time to ask that one question to everyone around you.  The question that will determine if people in your life are there for a reason, a season or a lifetime (purpose).  What is the question?  It is very simple, the question is … Are We Connected?  To be connected means to join or fasten together usually by something intervening.  At this point in your life, you no longer need one-night stands but covenant partners in the Lord.  People who pray for you fervently and faithfully.  People who hold you accountable for the actions you perform and responsible for the assignments entrusted to you.  The Bible declares in 1 Samuel 18:1 - And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking unto Saul, that the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul.

My brother, my sister, do you have any person in your life willing to endure the fire with you?  Do you have anyone in your life who sows into your spirit?  Beloved, there will be times when the entire crowd is screaming your name.  They will applaud everything you do.  But there will also be times when the same crowd will criticize and scorn you.  They will try their best to tear you down.  During these times, do you have any brothers and/or sisters connected with you in the spirit?  Better yet, are you connected to anyone in the spirit?  The Bible declares in Proverbs 18:24 - A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.   Are We Connected?  Prayer for Today: Father, please show me the people who are connected to me no matter what happens.  In the name of Jesus … Amen!

Wolves In Sheep’s Clothing!

Wednesday, September 13th, 2017

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My brother, my sister, I have been sent to forewarn you about the people, the places and the things that are currently in your life.  How knowledgeable are you regarding the people in your life?  How familiar are you with the things in your life?  How certain are you about the places you visit?  Do you realize there are attacks sent against you each day but many times they come disguised?  Without spiritual discernment, many times you will fall prey to the enemies traps and schemes.  The Bible declares in Matthew 7:15 - Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Beloved, I come this morning to tell you one important thing. Beware of:

 Wolves In Sheep’s Clothing!

These are people who smile in your face, but oftentimes they’re stabbing you in the back.  These are people who applaud when you do good and criticize at the first sight of failure.  These are things that are set up to make sure you fall face first.

Do It Today!

Tuesday, September 12th, 2017

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.   This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My brother, my sister, I believe today is the day for you to experience real healing and peace.  Today is the day for you to experience true freedom.  Today I challenge you to do two important things.

  1. Apologize to the people you hurt; and
  2. Forgive the people who hurt you.

Do It Today!

The Bible declares in Mark 11:25-26 - And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. 26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.  Prayer for Today: Father, help me to apologize to the people I have hurt along the way and help me to forgive the people who hurt me. In Jesus name … Amen!

Gratitude Should Be Your Attitude!

Friday, September 8th, 2017

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Do you realize this is the day the Lord has made?  Do you realize you are still alive?  Do you realize many people would love to be in your place today?  You may not have all the money and possessions you long to have.  You may not have the fancy things you desire to purchase.  Your job may not be all it appears to be.  Your marriage may not be as loving as others think it is.  Whatever the case may be, there are still people who would love to be in your place.  There are people who would love to have a little money in their pocket, instead of having to beg from others.  There are people who would love to have your home or your apartment, instead of sleeping in parks and shelters.  There are people who would love to drive the car you complain about, instead of walking everywhere they go.  There are people who would love to have the job you hate, instead of experiencing unemployment.

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  There are so many people who sit back and see how blessed you are.  There are so many people who thank God for blessing you.  Do you see how blessed you are?  Do you thank God for the way He blesses you?  My friend, Gratitude Should Be Your Attitude!  The Bible declares in Psalms 100:4 - Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.  It matters not how much you count, but that you appreciate what you do have.  The Lord has been faithful to each one of us.  We are no where near perfect.  If the truth were told, we have done more wrong than right.  But for some reason He continues to bless each of us.  Could it be possible that the one thing keeping you from the overflow you diligently pray for is your attitude?

My brother, my sister, Gratitude Should Be Your Attitude!  Think how you would feel if your children or spouse or friends always begged from you and when they received what they wanted they walked away.  How would you feel?  Imagine how God feels when we only call Him during our times of grief and despair.  The Bible declares in Psalms 118:8 - It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.  Beloved, I do not want to lose anyone or anything before I realize God has been good to me.  How about you?  Prayer for Today: Father, help me to begin carrying myself with an attitude of gratitude.  Forgive me for never thanking You for everything, including the little things.  In Jesus name … Amen!

Just Two Questions

Thursday, September 7th, 2017

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My brother, my sister, I have been summons to ask Just Two Questions and that is it.  Two questions that each of us must answer for ourselves.

  1. Are you operating in the favor of God or the fear of man?
  2. Are you willing to serve the Lord or are you worried about people’s opinions?

What’s your answer?  Prayer for Today: Father, help me to always walk in favor with a willing heart to serve.  In Jesus name … Amen!

If They Only Knew!

Wednesday, September 6th, 2017

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever wished someone else could be in your shoes?  People always act as if everything in your life is trouble-free.  For some reason people want to always compare their life with your life, their burdens with your successes, and their frowns with your smiles.  They think you never have days of doubt or nights of negativity.  “If they could only walk in my shoes” you often say.  Have you ever found yourself trying to tell me about the ‘hell’ you often experience?  No matter what you say or how you say it, they still do not believe you.  Is it possible for you to have your own problems but carry yourself in a manner that shows no signs of trouble?  Yes it is!  Many times we experience tragedy and turmoil but no one will ever know.  Why tell people who cannot help you about the problems you are faced with?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My friend, If They Only Knew!  If your family and friends only knew the nights you walked the floor with tears running down your face.  If they only saw how you fasted and prayed before you made serious decisions.  If they only knew the times you doubted yourself and the anointing God placed on your life.  No, things are not always wonderful but you have learned how to rest in the assurance of God’s power.  The Bible declares in Ephesians 3:20 - Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.  As a result of this scripture, you are now able to make it each and every day.  You have been assured that God is able to handle what you ask for and what you think of asking for but do not.  Who else can hear and respond to your thoughts?

My brother, my sister, If They Only Knew!  No you do not always have money in your pocket, but you know God will make provision for you.  Yes there are times when you worry but you remind yourself of the promises God made to you.  There are times when quitting appears so easy but you know God is up to something.  The Bible declares in Jude 1:24 - Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,  25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.  It is the Lord who is able to keep you from losing your mind.  People may never know what you go through each day, but make sure you never forget how faithful God is toward you each day.  Prayer for Today: Father, thank You for always working things out for me.  People may never know, but Lord I appreciate all You do.  In the name of Jesus … Amen!
