This Is Not About You!

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  I often wonder where I would be in life if the Lord had not saved my life.  It is amazing to think how often we placed ourselves in harm’s way and the Lord continuously pulled us out.  Have you ever sat down long enough to see how faithful the Lord has been to you?  In spite of your imperfections, the Lord never gave up on you.  Just think about the night you were dancing in the club and the gunshots rang out.  It was the Lord who made a way of escape.  Think about the times you were smoking weed, sniffing cocaine, drinking alcohol, or living promiscuous.  It was the Lord who delivered you.

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  I am concerned that the people of God have lost sight of God’s goodness.  For some reason we live our lives as if God owes us.  We come and go as we please.  We only pray when we want something from Him.  We live any kind of way, say any thing we want, and treat people like dirt but we proclaim to be Christians.  My friend, This Is Not About You!  Who we are is because of the Lord.  Where we are is because of the Lord.  What we desire to be will come through the Lord.  Be not deceived, demons do not tremble when they hear your name.  The Bible declares in James 2:19 – Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

My brother, my sister, stop acting like the world revolves around you.  Humble yourself.  Do you realize God has someone, somewhere, prepared to replace you?  Yes you are anointed but this does not mean you are not irreplaceable.  Beloved, This Is Not About You!  As you go forth today, make sure you remember it is because of who God is that we are able to live, move and have our being.  The Bible declares in Philippians 2:9 – Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father
