Stop It!

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever felt all alone in this crowded world?  For some reason you felt as if life was determined to rob you of everything.  It seemed as if everyone was out to destroy you.  Everything you touched seemingly fell apart.  Have you ever found yourself mad at God because you felt life dealt you a bad hand?  The plans you had for your life were interrupted by unforeseen circumstances.  Your dreams and aspirations appear threatened and you feel its all God’s fault.  You will never publicly say it, but within you are angry with the Lord.  Have you ever made a mistake and blamed God for making this Christian journey so difficult?  Everything was going great but you committed one mistake and now everyone is condemning.  Have you ever been there?  Are you there now?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  I know how it feels to wonder where God is and if He still cares for you.  I know how it feels to serve the Lord with your whole heart but you were lacking in many areas.  I know how it feels to see the unsaved and unrighteous enjoying “bountiful” blessings while you are struggling from week to week.  I know how it feels, but I also know how it feels to see the Lord move on my behalf.  Many times we make the mistake of comparing our lives with the lives of those around us.  If they have more than us, we conclude that they’re blessed and we are not.  My friend, Stop It!  Stop living your life through the eyes of other people.  God is able to bless me and still have enough to bless you as well.  The Bible declares in Ephesians 3:20 – Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.

My brother, my sister, what makes you think your blessings are based on materialistic possessions?  There are many dead people who possesed materialism.  The fact that you are alive this morning makes you blessed.  The fact that you have health and strength (whether you are as healthy as you want or not) makes you blessed.  The Bible declares in Psalms 34:1 – I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.  Beloved, we displease God when we spend our days and nights pointing out what someone else has and we do not.  Stop It!  Stop trying to manipulate the Lord.  Stop trying to make the Lord feel guilty.  Just because someone gets their prayer answered first does not mean the Lord has not heard your request.  Can you praise God when someone gets blessed?  Prayer for Today: Father, forgive me for life-comparing with others.  Thank You for all You have done, are doing and will do in my life.  I love You!  In the name of Jesus … Amen!

Scripture Reading for Today: Hebrews 13:15

May God Bless you at Your point of need!
