He Will Do What He Wants To Do!

Friday, June 16th, 2023

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Has this week seemed longer than normal?  Has this week brought more challenges than you can remember?  Has this week left you feeling overwhelmed and overworked?  Has this week made you question past decisions you made?  Has this week caused you to contemplate walking away from every thing and everyone?  Has this week been the best week of your life?  Has this week brought continuous joy and blessings?  Do you hate to see this week end?  Has this week positioned you for better weeks to come?  So often in our lives we are faced with more questions than we have answers to.  Some times we desire to ignore as many questions as possible.  Above you noticed many personal questions.  Questions that no one else can answer but you.  Isn’t it amazing how the same week that brought you pain and heartache, can be the same week that brought joy and overflow for someone else?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  When was the last time you asked the Lord to stop the rain?  Or when was the last time you asked Him to stop something that brought you discomfort and grief?  Do you realize somewhere, someone is praying just the opposite.  What you are asking the Lord to stop, someone is asking God to start.  The rain that prevents you from enjoying a day at the park, is the same rain that allows the crops to grow for someone else.  So, who should God answer to?  Your prayer or the other person?  My friend, He Will Do What He Wants To Do!  This is one of things that makes God so awesome.  No dilemma hinders the power of God.  The Bible declares in Psalms 62:11 – God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God.  It is not that God does not hear your prayers.  It is not that God is ignoring you.  Truthfully, God operates according to Himself.  Man must answer to someone but God answers to Himself.  Therefore He can never go against Himself.

My brother, my sister, as much as you try to persuade the Father, He cannot nor will not be manipulated by us.  He Will Do What He Wants To Do!  Before God ever conforms to our will, we will always surrender and submit to His.  The Bible declares in Psalms 73:28 – But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all Thy works.  Beloved, we must always remember God knows what is best.  He knows when to do it and when to wait.  He knows when to intervene and when to leave it alone.  He knows when you are ready for the overflow.  He knows when you are prepared for the next step or phase.  He knows when we have fulfilled the assignment given to us.  In stead of trying to deceive the Master into accepting your will, why not trust His will for you?  No matter how strong you feel about it, He Will Do What He Wants To Do! Prayer for Today: Father, help me to obey Your will for my life.  You know what is best for me and my family.  Help me to realize You are always in control.  In Jesus’ name … Amen.

He Will Come In If You Invite Him!

Thursday, June 15th, 2023

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever been around friends or family members and everything they said was negative?  For some reason they only had bad things to say or talk about.  These same people claim to be Believers of God but they often contradict themselves by their constant complaining and murmuring.  Have you ever worked around people who spent their lunch break griping about their supervisor or another co-worker?  This person spent an entire hour focusing on one individual.  How is it that we enable others to overtake us in anger?  How is it that we allow our jobs to consume our thoughts?  How is it that we forget God is the same God no matter where we go?  So often in our lives we become so preoccupied with the affairs of life until we forget to invite the Lord in.  We must understand while God is every where at the same time (omni-present), He still has an order He follows.  We must invite the Lord in.

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  Allow me to explain further.  God does everything decently and in order (1 Corinthians 14:40).  He operates according to the standard He set for the world.  Therefore, the same way we ask God to use us is the same way God is desiring to enter into our daily affairs.  The Bible declares in Revelation 3:20 – Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me.  Yes we know God could open the door Himself.  Yes we know God could knock the door down.  Yes we know God could enter without opening or knocking the door down.  However, that is not what the Lord will do.  There’s a responsibility we must uphold.  My friend, He Will Come In If You Invite Him!  Do not wait until things are going wrong in your life before you ask God to intervene.  Do not wait until hours before the due date before you ask God to provide for you.  Do not wait until you have fallen into sin or the traps of the enemy before you ask God to rescue you.

My brother, my sister, God is the only wise God our Father (Jude 1:25).  It is true, He does know all things.  He is all places at one time.  He is the greatest power in the world.  While this may be true, He is also a God who wants His children to invite His presence into their lives.  Be not deceived, we cannot survive without the Lord.  No matter how successful you think you are, all that you have is because of Him.  Beloved, He Will Come In If You Invite Him!  He will step in if you make room for His presence.  Once He steps in, then He will show out on your behalf.  What are you dealing with today?  What dilemma do you find yourself faced with this morning?  What struggle are you overwhelmingly involved in?  Have you invited the Master in?  Have you made room for His presence?  If no, what are you waiting for?  Prayer for Today: Father, as this day unfolds, I invite You to have Your way.  Lead me where You want me to go.  Guide according to Your will.  In Jesus’ name … Amen!

Another Question

Wednesday, June 14th, 2023

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  For some reason, the Lord desires for me to ask you another question this morning.  It is my desire to always be in obedience to the Will of God.  Understand, it is the Lord who knows all, sees all, hears all, and can do all things.  Today, I have been commissioned to ask you one important question.  Beloved, according to the things you are praying for, …

Healed of the Lord!

Monday, June 12th, 2023

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  This morning’s devotional is short but impacting.  The Lord spoke to me this morning specifically in this area.  As your day unfolds, I would like to sow a word into your spirit.  Throughout today, I encourage you to declare these words, “Healed of the Lord!”  The Bible declares in 3 John 1:2 – Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. Many Believers are experiencing challenges within their bodies.  Many Believers have received negative reports from their doctors, have lost their supporting cast, and have been left for dead.  However, I have been commissioned to come and inform you that the Lord has not forgotten about you.  He has heard your cry (Psalms 40:1).  He has noticed your tears (Psalms 126:5).  He has felt your pain.  He has watched the disbelief of others.  But, Beloved, you are …

“Healed of the Lord!”

Walk in it today.

Declare it today.

Continuously recite it today.

Believe it today.

Live it today.

The Bible declares in Proverbs 16:24 – Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.  Child of God, if no one else believes, never allow your words to speak anything less than healing and wholeness.

Always Remain Humble!

Friday, June 9th, 2023

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Many times in our lives we desire for God to use us in mighty ways.  Within there is a desire to glorify the name of Jesus wherever we go.  A strong fire burns within our spirits longing to please the Lord.  The more you do for the Lord, the more the yearning intensifies.  Have you ever found yourself being used by the Lord, for His glory, and the people were applauding you?  You must be very careful when this begins to occur.  Never has it been about you or me.  Never will it be about you or me.  The Lord chose to use us (John 15:16).  It was not because he could not find anyone else but because He trusts us with His anointing.  When you become overwhelmed with the accolades of man, you lose the fervor of the anointing.  Do you not realize it is the anointing that destroys the yoke?  It is not you or me.

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My friend, Always Remain Humble!  Always remain at the feet of Jesus.  Never allow yourself to become high-minded and puffed up.  It is through your humility that God can exalt you.  The Bible declares in 1 Peter 5:6 – Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time:  One of the worse things to see is a Believer who acts as if God needs them.  A person who believes the world revolves around them.  A person who believes life does not begin until they arrive.  This person is bound for destruction.  The exaltation you desire comes as a result of your humility.  To be humble means you are not proud or haughty.  You are not arrogant.  Never forget where you were when the Lord changed your life.  Never forget what you were doing when the Lord changed your life.  Never forget the time and attention God spent to put you where you are now.  Its not about you or me.

My brother, my sister, Always Remain Humble!  Never allow the enemy to feed you with wrong information.  Pride is the same reason Lucifer was kicked out of Heaven (Isaiah 14:12-16).  God is looking for humble people.  People who know if God does not help me, I cannot do it.  A people who relies on the Lord for everything.  The Bible declares in James 4:10 – Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He shall lift you up.  Beloved, imagine how many people have been sat down by the Lord because they attempted to steal what rightfully belonged to Him.  The applauds, the accolades and the glory all belong to the Master.  It was nothing you did.  It was nothing I accomplished.  All that we have, God granted it unto us.  All that we enjoy, God made it possible.  All that we expect, God will be the supplier.  Always Remain Humble! Prayer for Today: Father, I am who I am and where I am because of You.  Please forgive me when I lost sight of this.  I humble myself before You.  In Jesus’ name … Amen!

It’s Great To Wait!

Thursday, June 8th, 2023

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever prayed to the Lord for an immediate response to an immediate problem?  You desired God to respond A.S.A.P. to a “life or death” matter.  What you think is a life threatening dilemma are sometimes not as threatening as you really think.  As a people, we often want God’s undivided attention to all requests we make.  Have you ever prayed for an answer but it seemed as though the Lord was taking to long to respond?  As the time went on you began to feel God was not listening to you.  You decided to take matters into your own hand.  Have you been there?  Are you there now?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  Do you realize God is always in control?  Have you forgotten who created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1)?  As my grandparents would often tell me, “God does not need help being God!”  You must understand the Lord knows what He is doing.  My friend, It’s Great To Wait!  The Bible declares in Isaiah 40:31 – But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.  The God we serve definitely knows what He is doing in each of our lives.  When have you ever been in trouble and the Lord did not show up on time?  Never have you been in trouble and the Lord did not step in on your behalf.  The Bible declares in Psalms 46:1 – God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

My brother, my sister, It’s Great To Wait!  Today, what matter are you faced with?  What dilemma are you dealing with?  These matters are not hidden from the Lord.  These matters are not greater than God.  Just because you think God is taking to long, does not mean He is.  The Bible declares in Isaiah 55:8 – For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the LORD.  Beloved, if you take it upon yourself to “fix” the problem that only God can correct, you will find yourself experiencing harder times and worse days.  It’s Great To Wait!  Be not dismayed, the Lord knows what He is doing.  Prayer for Today: Father, grant me the patience I need to trust in Your timing.  In Jesus’ name … Amen!

Who Is Your First Love?

Wednesday, June 7th, 2023

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever found yourself so overtaken by someone’s love that you stop thinking correctly?  All day, everyday, you sit thinking about this particular person.  You wonder what they are doing.  What they are wearing.  When you will see them again.  When the phone rings, your heart begins to race in great anticipation.  Have you ever found yourself devoting all of your time and energy to one person until everything else in life becomes secondary?  In your eyes, the sun rises and sets with this person.  Even God has become a second thought in your life.  You once knocked the church doors down to get in, but now you miss more Sundays than ever.  Your prayer life has diminished.  Your fasting has severely decreased.  Your worship and praise for God has been substituted for compliments and sweet words for this person.  Have you been there?  Are you there now?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My friend, please never forget where love starts.  The Bible declares in 1 John 4:8 – He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.  The love we have for others derives out of our love for the Master.  Allow me to ask you an important question.  Who Is Your First Love?  Who keeps the smile on your face each day?  Who do you think about all the time?  Who do you aim to please and satisfy?  While God blesses us to enjoy (godly) relationships, he does not bless our relationships so that they can become our top priorities.  He must always remain first.  Just as the Lord spoke to the church at Ephesus, is He talking to you this morning?  The Bible declares in Revelation 2:4 – Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.  Have you left your first love?  Not that person you dated years ago.  Not that person who circled yes on the note you sent in the middle of class.  Not that person who wrote you a short poem or gave you one red rose.

My brother, my sister, Who Is Your First Love?  Who keeps you believing things will get better?  Who enables you to see beyond the current problems in your life?  Who comforts you when everything in life appears impossible?  Beloved, to be in love with Jesus is the best thing that could ever happen to you.  This is a love that accepts us as we are.  This is a love that does not see where you are, but where you are going.  This is a love that receives the faults and failures that accompany you.  This is a love that enables you to get back up again.  The Bible declares in Romans 5:8 – But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.  What kind of love is this?  Who do you know that can love you like this?  When every thing seems chaotic and out of control, reassess your life.  Make sure you have not lost sight of your first love.  Prayer for Today: Father, You are the first love of my life.  No one can ever replace You.  You are the first, the last, my every thing.  In Jesus’ name … Amen!

All The Times We Messed Up …

Tuesday, June 6th, 2023

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  When was the last time you made a mistake?  When was the last time you committed a sin?  When was the last time you stumbled and fell into ungodly activities?  When was the last time you found yourself doing what you swore you would never do again?  When was the last time you allowed the enemy to use you?  When was the last time you went against the commandments of God?  When was the last time you engaged in immoral behavior?  Many times in our lives we confess our desires to change.  Our intentions sound sincere and wonderful.  We convince ourselves and others that we will do better this time.  As the day unfolds, the very thing we said would never happen, we found ourselves doing.  Paul said it best in Romans 7:21 – I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  Imagine the level of guilt you feel after doing what you said you would never do again.  My friend, All The Times We Messed Up … God knew.  Sometimes we think God is unaware of our faults and failures.  In stead of immediate repentance we begin to draw up plans and schemes to cover the sin.  The enemy makes us think our plan will actually work.  It will not.  Before you committed the mistake, God knew it would happen.  Even after you committed the mistake, God was still willing to forgive you.  The Bible declares in Romans 3:23 – For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.  When you have fallen short, before you attempt to map out an unsuccessful blueprint, go instantly to the Lord in prayer.  God stands ready to forgive us.  We make matters worse when we try to cover it up.  Be not deceived into thinking God is not aware of your every day activities.

My brother, my sister,  All The Times We Messed Up … God knew.  He knew about it.  When the temptation(s) arose, God was there making a way of escape for us (1 Corinthians 10:13).  Beloved, what sinful activity have you engaged in?  What immoral deed have you committed?  What dilemma have you placed yourself in?  What lie has the enemy told you would work?  Go to the Lord and ask His forgiveness.  He is able to forgive you of your wrongdoings.  The Bible declares in Psalms 103:12 – As far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us.  Child of God, He knows all about us.  This means there is nothing in our lives that we can hide from the Master.  Stop trying to cover it up.  Stop trying to deceive the Master.  Truthfully, you are not deceiving God, you are being deceived by the enemy.  All The Times We Messed Up … God knew.  He knew and He still chose you.  Prayer for Today: Father, I know You know every thing.  Forgive me for trying to cover up my mistakes.  Here I am before You Lord.  Use me if You please.  In Jesus’ name … Amen!

He Will Not Be Rushed!

Monday, June 5th, 2023

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever found yourself asking God for the same things over and over again?  Every available moment you reminded God of your request.  You never allowed a day to pass without asking God to grant your heart’s desire.  For some reason you assumed God did not hear you or needed help remembering.  Have you ever dominated your prayer time with the Lord?  90% of the prayer was you asking, demanding, and reminding God.  The other 10% was you finalizing your prayer.  Never did you give God the opportunity to speak or assure you that He heard your request.  Have you become consumed with getting things your way until you attempted to manipulate the response?  In fear that God would not grant you the answer desired, you began to bargain and negotiate.  ‘God I will do this, if you do this.’  Sounds familiar?  ‘I will never do this again, if you will get me out of this.’  Have you been there?  Are you there now?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  There are times in our lives when we become so focused on getting a certain answer from God that we never realize when He has responded.  We expect God to answer at a certain time, in a certain way.  While God may answer in that way, there are times when God will answer you in a way you least expect.  However He answers, I can assure you of one important thing.  He Will Not Be Rushed!  He will not be forced into doing what He does not want to do.  No matter how many promises you make.  No matter how many changes you promise to make.  The Bible declares in Ecclesiastes 3:1 – To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:  Every thing God does, He does in perfect timing.  No matter how soon you think it is needed, He knows when to grant it.  As grandma would always say, “He may not come when I want Him to, but He is always on time!”  We must understand, God does not operate on the same schedule we do.

My brother, my sister, He Will Not Be Rushed!  No matter how slow you think He is, He will never be rushed but He will be on time.  What are you dealing with today?  What answer have you been begging God for?  What dilemma do you need assistance with?  Are you pulling your hair out?  Have you become overwhelmed with stress and anxiety?  Beloved, these reactions will not force God to move any faster.  The Bible declares in Isaiah 55:8-9 – For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the LORD.  9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.  God knows what He is doing.  He is setting us up for something great.  Our ability to trust and wait will allow the manifested will of God to be revealed in our lives.  Calm yourself.  Do not get ahead of God’s plans.  Be still and know that He is God.  Prayer for Today: Father, give me the patience to know You are in control of all things and at all times.  In Jesus’ name … Amen!
