All The Times We Messed Up …

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  When was the last time you made a mistake?  When was the last time you committed a sin?  When was the last time you stumbled and fell into ungodly activities?  When was the last time you found yourself doing what you swore you would never do again?  When was the last time you allowed the enemy to use you?  When was the last time you went against the commandments of God?  When was the last time you engaged in immoral behavior?  Many times in our lives we confess our desires to change.  Our intentions sound sincere and wonderful.  We convince ourselves and others that we will do better this time.  As the day unfolds, the very thing we said would never happen, we found ourselves doing.  Paul said it best in Romans 7:21 – I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  Imagine the level of guilt you feel after doing what you said you would never do again.  My friend, All The Times We Messed Up … God knew.  Sometimes we think God is unaware of our faults and failures.  In stead of immediate repentance we begin to draw up plans and schemes to cover the sin.  The enemy makes us think our plan will actually work.  It will not.  Before you committed the mistake, God knew it would happen.  Even after you committed the mistake, God was still willing to forgive you.  The Bible declares in Romans 3:23 – For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.  When you have fallen short, before you attempt to map out an unsuccessful blueprint, go instantly to the Lord in prayer.  God stands ready to forgive us.  We make matters worse when we try to cover it up.  Be not deceived into thinking God is not aware of your every day activities.

My brother, my sister,  All The Times We Messed Up … God knew.  He knew about it.  When the temptation(s) arose, God was there making a way of escape for us (1 Corinthians 10:13).  Beloved, what sinful activity have you engaged in?  What immoral deed have you committed?  What dilemma have you placed yourself in?  What lie has the enemy told you would work?  Go to the Lord and ask His forgiveness.  He is able to forgive you of your wrongdoings.  The Bible declares in Psalms 103:12 – As far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us.  Child of God, He knows all about us.  This means there is nothing in our lives that we can hide from the Master.  Stop trying to cover it up.  Stop trying to deceive the Master.  Truthfully, you are not deceiving God, you are being deceived by the enemy.  All The Times We Messed Up … God knew.  He knew and He still chose you.  Prayer for Today: Father, I know You know every thing.  Forgive me for trying to cover up my mistakes.  Here I am before You Lord.  Use me if You please.  In Jesus’ name … Amen!
