It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God. Have you ever prayed for something awesome to occur in your life? No matter what it seemed like you believed God could grant it. No matter how many people told you it sounded crazy and it was no way you would get something like that. Have you ever based your prayers on the way your family and friends felt about something? If someone within your inner circle felt uncomfortable about a certain request, have you held back from asking the Lord? Many times in life the things we desire for God to do in our lives are often held within because we allow other people’s opinions to hinder our pursuit. We know there is nothing too hard for the Lord. We know God hears and answers prayer. We know the Lord sees all and knows all. But yet we still allow the thoughts of man to hold us back. Have you been there? Are you there now?
This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you. What are you believing God to do? What impossible situation are you believing God can change around? What obstacle are you expecting God to move out of your way? Have you approached the Lord about it? Do you not realize God requires that we ask Him for help? While God knows our thoughts and intents, He still desires for us to ask Him to intervene. When you ask you are inviting the Lord to have His way. My friend, You Need to Open Your Mouth! The Bible declares in James 4:2 – Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. Last time I checked, a closed mouth never got fed. You need to go to the Lord in prayer and ask for what you stand in need of. When you approach God, you need to enter into His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise (Psalms 100:4). This means praise and worship needs to remain on your lips.
My brother, my sister, You Need to Open Your Mouth! God answers knee-mail. He answers the prayers that come from our heart and out of our mouth. You cannot expect God to ask for the request, as well as grant the request. There are certain things we must do. The Bible declares in James 1:6 – But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. Beloved, do you realize your next blessing or miracle could be hanging and waiting on you to ask for it? At some point in your life you will have to boldly come to the throne of God. What are you waiting for? Who are you waiting on? You Need to Open Your Mouth! Prayer for Today: Father, this morning I come before You asking that You would feel in the blank In the name of Jesus … Amen!
Scripture Reading for Today: James 4:3, Ephesians 3:20, James 1:5
May God Bless you at Your point of need!
