You Need to Open Your Mouth!

Thursday, August 3rd, 2023

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever prayed for something awesome to occur in your life?  No matter what it seemed like you believed God could grant it.  No matter how many people told you it sounded crazy and it was no way you would get something like that.  Have you ever based your prayers on the way your family and friends felt about something?  If someone within your inner circle felt uncomfortable about a certain request, have you held back from asking the Lord?  Many times in life the things we desire for God to do in our lives are often held within because we allow other people’s opinions to hinder our pursuit.  We know there is nothing too hard for the Lord.  We know God hears and answers prayer.  We know the Lord sees all and knows all.  But yet we still allow the thoughts of man to hold us back.  Have you been there?  Are you there now?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  What are you believing God to do?  What impossible situation are you believing God can change around?  What obstacle are you expecting God to move out of your way?  Have you approached the Lord about it?  Do you not realize God requires that we ask Him for help?  While God knows our thoughts and intents, He still desires for us to ask Him to intervene.  When you ask you are inviting the Lord to have His way.  My friend, You Need to Open Your Mouth!  The Bible declares in James 4:2 – Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.  Last time I checked, a closed mouth never got fed.  You need to go to the Lord in prayer and ask for what you stand in need of.  When you approach God, you need to enter into His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise (Psalms 100:4).  This means praise and worship needs to remain on your lips.

My brother, my sister, You Need to Open Your Mouth!  God answers knee-mail.  He answers the prayers that come from our heart and out of our mouth.  You cannot expect God to ask for the request, as well as grant the request.  There are certain things we must do.  The Bible declares in James 1:6 – But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.  Beloved, do you realize your next blessing or miracle could be hanging and waiting on you to ask for it?  At some point in your life you will have to boldly come to the throne of God.  What are you waiting for?  Who are you waiting on?  You Need to Open Your Mouth! Prayer for Today: Father, this morning I come before You asking that You would    feel in the blank       In the name of Jesus … Amen!

You Are In Good Hands!

Wednesday, August 2nd, 2023

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you. My brother, my sister, as your day unfolds, remember one very important promise:

You Are In Good Hands!

No matter how awful things appear during this current point in time.  No matter how wrong you have been treated.  No matter what vicious lie or rumor has been spread against you.  No matter who attempted to ruin you, your family, or your character.  No matter who walked away from you.  No matter if no one else believes.  The Bible declares in 1 Peter 5:7 – Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you.  Your life is in the right hands.  Your life is in the hands of God.  Therefore, no matter who set traps against you, the Lord has you covered.  Prayer for Today: Father, I am able to live my life according to Your promises because I know You have me in the palm of Your hand.  For that, I will humble myself therefore under Your mighty hand, that You may exalt me in due time.  In the name of Jesus … Amen!

Scripture Reading for Today: Psalms 91:1

Watch Where You Put Your Tongue!

Tuesday, August 1st, 2023

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Do you realize the power you have in your tongue?  Do you realize the impact you can make when your tongue is used properly?  Many times in life our tongues are used to defile and tear down others.  We speak first and think second.  The first thought that enters our mind we release it to the world.  Whether it hurts others or not, we do not care.  Think about this, When was the last time your tongue said something that tore someone down?  Many marriages, friendships, relationships, jobs, churches, and communities have been severely impacted because of the misuse of the tongue.  Always remember after it has been said it cannot be taken back.  People can accept your apology, but the words still live a wound within.  Have you been there?  Are you there now?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My friend, Watch Where You Put Your Tongue!  The Bible declares in Proverbs 18:21 – Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.  There are many people in the world today who have been victims of verbal assaults.  Imagine how you would feel if someone spoke to you the way you spoke to others.  Imagine how God feels to hear you speak to others the way you do.  Is that Christ-like?  Is that a witness for Jesus Christ?  The words we speak out of our mouth will always produce fruit.  We have the authority to produce good fruit or bad fruit.  The Bible declares in 1 Peter 3:10 – For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:  As your day unfolds, be careful how you use your tongue.

My brother, my sister, Watch Where You Put Your Tongue!  The same way you should watch how you speak to others is the same way you should watch how you speak to yourself.  Many people live defeated lives because (s)he never use their tongues for anything other than negative conversation.  Do you understand nothing will change if you never open your mouth?  In the book of Genesis, when God created the world and began to cloth it for man, He never used His hands for anything accept man.  The Bible declares He spoke everything into existence with His mouth (Genesis 1).  You have the power within your mouth to make negative situations turn around for the good.  It will not change of you do not speak to it.  The Bible declares in Mark 11:23 – For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.  Prayer for Today: Father, help me to speak life when I use my tongue.  In the name of Jesus … Amen!
