Work Diligently For The Lord!

Friday, March 29th, 2024

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My brother, my sister, do you realize we are to be witnesses for the Lord wherever we go?  Not just at church, but at work, in the mall, the grocery store, family reunions, when we are upset about a certain matter.  Yes it is difficult to do at times, but whenever someone sees you they should see the reflection of God’s glory surrounding you.  Do you realize you can turn more people to the Lord by upholding integrity and maintaining Godly character than spreading gossip and being deceptive?  Even if you do not love your current place of employment, while God has you there you are commissioned to be a witness for Him.  (FYI: Complaining about the job does not make God move any faster!)

Beloved, wherever you go, whatever assignment is given to you, …

FOCUS …

Thursday, March 28th, 2024

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My brother, my sister, I do not want to take too much of your time this morning but I need to speak this word into your spirit.  Beloved, instead of worrying about what someone else is doing,

FOCUS ON THE ASSIGNMENT(S) GOD GAVE YOU!

My friend, there is too much moaning and groaning taking place in the body of Christ.  There is too much finger pointing and criticizing within the body.  If each of us would focus on the work God has anointed us to perform, we would have less time to gossip about others.  As Christians, we must … no, we need to set the right examples.  The Bible declares in 1 Thessalonians 4:11 – And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;

Are You Available for Service?

Wednesday, March 27th, 2024

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever had a desire to do whatever it took to please the Lord?  No matter what people said or how they reacted toward you, pleasing the Lord was the only thing you desired to do.  Have you ever had people treat you different after you made a committment to do the Lord’s will?  As long as you were doing what they wanted you to do, there were no problems.  As soon as you took a stand for the Lord Jesus Christ, everything and everyone began to attack you.  It is amazing how to see how much warfare we endure after saying ‘yes’ to the Lord.  The enemy knows God has great things in store for us.  he knows God has anointed us for greater works.  he knows this and for these reasons attacks are sent your way.

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My friend, Are You Available for Service?  One of my brothers in The Lord told me when you are in the reserves, you have instructions to always be prepared for [that] phone call.  The phone call comes to inform you that it is time to report for duty.  No matter where you are or what you are doing, you must make your way to the instructed destination.  Just as the worldly system has rules and guidelines, so does God.  When we accept the Lord as our personal Savior, we become a part of the ‘Army of God.’  While the world places a phone call when it is time to report, as Christians, we are expected to always be on duty.  There are people who come into our contact each day.  Are you impacting them for the Lord?  Are you changing their lives for the glory of God?  Can the Lord trust you to encourage someone else?

My brother, my sister, Are You Available for Service?  This is the question, what is your answer?

Love The Person You Are!

Tuesday, March 26th, 2024

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  So often in our lives we find ourselves trying so very hard to make everyone accept us.  We change our appearances to feel accepted.  We alter the way we dress to be accepted.  We hang with certain people to be accepted.  Have you ever wondered why we change who we are to be accepted by others, but no one changes who they are to be accepted by us?  Why are we always disguising ourselves as something we are not?  Do you realize God made you to be different than the people around you?  It was not His intentions for you to be exactly like the person next to you.  Understand, when you try to be like someone else you become a cheap copy.

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My friend, Love The Person You Are!  Stop trying to be someone God said you are not.  Who you are is a blessing to the people God placed around you.  Each and every day God sends people into your life so that you may be a blessing to them.  If you continue to alter the person you are, when do you have the time to bless other people for the glory of God?  The Bible declares in 1 Corinthians 10:31 – Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.  Child of God, please never forget all that we do is for the glory of our God.  It is not about us.  It is not about trophies, man’s accolades, or how many people recognize you in the mall.  This is all about the Lord Jesus Christ.

My brother, my sister, who are you trying to be like?  Are you trying to make changes to the person God ordained for you to be?  Why are you making alterations to yourself?  Beloved, Love The Person You Are!  Stop letting people’s comments make you want to be someone you are not.  When you look in the mirror, love the person you see.  The Bible declares in Genesis 1:27 – So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.  From this day forward, if you desire to become something else, try becoming more like Christ.  Prayer for Today: Father, help me to love the person You made me to be.  In the name of Jesus … Amen!

Think Before YOU Speak!

Friday, March 22nd, 2024

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  While it is true that God anoints us to speak life into other people, there are times when we use our tongues for evil purposes.  Sometimes we say things we should not.  We respond in ways we should not.  We recite things we should not.  Do you realize it is hypocritical for us to encourage one person with our tongue and then discourage someone with the same tongue?  The Bible declares in James 3:8-9– But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. 9 Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.  My brother, my sister, today I have been instructed to pass this word along to you.

Think Before YOU Speak!

God does not want you to concern yourself with the way other people use their tongues, when you are misusing yours as well.  Before you attempt to convict someone else, make sure you have yourself in order.

He Knows When, Where, Why, and How!

Thursday, March 21st, 2024

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  When you woke up this morning how did you feel?  Were you begging for five more minutes of sleep or did you hit the ground running?  Were you dragging throughout the house or were you bouncing off the walls with excitement?  Many times in our life we plead with God in prayer for certain things we feel we must have.  Every morning and night we remind God of our prayer request, as if He has forgotten.  For some reason we feel as if life cannot continue unless we get this specific request answered.  Do you realize for every blessing there is a condition?  I cannot live any way I choose and expect God to pour out an overflow of blessings.  I cannot treat people nasty and expect God to grant me more favor.  The reason God blesses us is for us to bless other people.  Did you know this?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  I know you really want God to give you that special “thing.”  You have already pictured yourself enjoying it.  You have bragged about it.  You have promised God things you would do if He gave it to you.  Question: What if God does not give it to you, now what?  Does your relationship with our God depend on you getting what you want, when you want it?  My friend, He Knows When, Where, Why, and How!  The Bible declares in Ecclesiastes 3:1  To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:  No matter how ready you claim to be God knows the right time and the right place.  You must grow to a point that you trust the Lord’s judgment.  You must know the Father has a specific time when He will bring it to pass.

My brother, my sister, what are you asking God for?  If given, will it bring glory to the Lord’s name?  Will it edify the body of Christ?  Will people applaud you or God?  Whatever God bestows upon His people, is granted so we may turn and give His name glory.  If people are cheering for you, something is wrong.  The Bible declares in Philippians 2:10-11 – That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.  Beloved, He Knows When, Where, Why, and How!  Remember this, when people thank you for doing something, your answer should be “TO GOD BE THE GLORY!”  Prayer for Today: Father, allow me to always know You know when, where, why and how.  In the name of Jesus … Amen!

You Are Special To The Lord!

Wednesday, March 20th, 2024

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever sat down and wondered why the Lord would want to use you?  Knowing all the mistakes you have made, you wonder why would God want to use me?  The thought of God having a special assignment for your life makes you wonder what He sees in you.  Have you ever wondered why God continues to forgive you especially when you continue to make the same mistakes over and over again?  No matter how much you mess up the Lord continues to forgive you and love you.  There is no one in your life, except for God, who would give you so many chances.  Have you ever been driving in your car and you remembered where you use to be?  The tears begin to run down your face.  It is at that point you realize how awesome our God is.  You know if it had not been for Him you would not be alive today.

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  Never allow people to make you feel as if your life is without purpose.  Never allow circumstances to make you question God’s unconditional (agapé) love.  Never allow the mistakes of your past to rob you of your place in God.  There are no hidden secrets in your life that God does not know about.  There are no stones left unturned when it comes to the Lord.  He knows all and He sees all (and He still wants you.)  My friend, You Are Special To The Lord!  Life can throw some tough darts your way.  Life has a way of dropping you to your knees.  Life can make a strong make cry and a proud man humble.  No matter what life presents, God is still in control.  The Bible declares in 1 Peter 2:9 – But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

My brother, my sister, what are you dealing with this morning?  What dilemma are you stuck in the middle of?  Are you in a state of confusion?  Be not deceived, the enemy knows you are chosen by God.  He knows the Lord has great work for your mouth, your hands, and your feet to do.  This is the reason you face so much opposition.  This is the reason you find yourself being criticized.  Beloved, You Are Special To The Lord!  In spite of what people say about you, feel toward you or think of you, God still has a purpose for you being here.  The Bible declares in Romans 8:28 – And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.  Prayer for Today: Father, help me to see You in everything.  In the name of Jesus … Amen!

A (Wo)Man After God’s Own Heart

Tuesday, March 19th, 2024

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My brother, my sister, as I was meditating before God for this morning’s devotional, He commanded me to share these four points with you.

  • Do you realize wherever you go, there is someone watching you?
  • Do you realize God has placed you where you are for a reason?
  • Do you realize there is an anointing on your life?
  • Do you realize the enemy hates you because you belong to God?
  • Do you realize there are people jealous of you and the favor you have on your life?
  • Do you realize you are on the devil’s “hit list”?

There are times in each of our lives when we wish God would give us five to ten free seconds to cuss someone out without feeling guilty in return.  People believe they can say anything to you, treat you any kind of way, or bring anything to you.  These same people are usually Christians.  In being a A (Wo)Man After God’s Own Heart, there are four things you must expect.

  1. You must expect to be opposed by others.
  2. You must expect to be misunderstood by others.
  3. You must expect to be overlooked by others.
  4. You must expect to be criticized by others.

Beloved, as long as you desire to live and please the Lord, you need to expect the above four.  Do not be shocked when attacks come from every side.

The Price of Leadership is Criticism!

Monday, March 18th, 2024

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My brother, my sister, while studying the Word of God this morning, I noticed something at the end of 2 Corinthians that I believe will deliver many of us.  So often we feel as if the entire world is against.  It appears as if everything and everyone is rebelling against what we are attempting to do.  As long as you are doing things your way, no one has a problem with you.  As soon as you commit yourself to the work of the Lord Jesus Christ, attacks come from every angle.  Do you realize the assignment on your life will bring opposition?  The enemy has received a preview of what God has purposed for you to do and he wants to hinder it from coming to pass.  This is the reason so many people despise you.  This is the reason you have difficulty receiving help from your peers.  This is why your ministry experiences so many challenges.

Beloved,

The Price of Leadership is Criticism!

Think back over all you have ever attempted to do for the Lord.  In doing so, I guarantee you will remember great opposition you endured.  This is how you know you are on the right road.  Thank those who criticize you.  It keeps you praying.
