Always Look Up!

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My brother, my sister, do you realize we have been made in the likeness and image of our God (Genesis 1:26-27)?  Do you realize God birthed within you everything needed to make it from day to day?  While we depend heavily on our head knowledge and the things we have learned in school, there will always arise something in each of our lives when we will not have enough education to talk our way out.  God has blessed us with the gift of the Holy Spirit.  He has been sent to reside within us and provide divine guidance to each of us each day.  As long as we think we have things under control, we will never depend on the Holy Spirit.  As long as people make us feel we’re irreplaceable, we will always walk proud and arrogant.  Life has a way of knocking you to your knees.  It has a way of making the strongest man cry and the nastiest person humble.

On this Christian journey, challenges will arise in each of our lives.  There will be times when we are faced with obstacles.  There will be times when everything appears to be chaotic.  As I have heard many times before, “you look right and there’s no help.  You look left and there’s no help.  You look forward and there’s no help.  You look backwards and there’s no help.  But when you look up you will always find help for whatever you are going through.”  (Psalms 121:1-2).  No matter how awful things appear today, Always Look Up!  The Bible declares in Psalms 46:1 – God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.  When the devil is at his greatest attack, God is at His greatest defense.  Nothing can come your way unless the Lord permits it to come.  Go forth to day child of God.  You are on the winning side.

Prayer for Today: Father, help me to always look up, even when things appear out of control.  You are able to handle whatever I am faced with.  In the name of Jesus … Amen!

Scripture Reading for Today: Psalms 62:8

May God Bless you at Your point of need!
