As He Is, So Are We!

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  To be a Christian means we are Christ-like.  While we will never be Christ, each day it is our responsibility to become more like Him.  Using excuses as our scapegoat must cease.  Yes, life is challenging.  Yes, life can drop you to your knees.  Yes, life can throw some of the worse things in your direction.  I know all of this to be true.  However, in spite of it all, we are still responsible for the way we conduct ourselves as Christians.  Just because I know God is merciful does not mean I purposely commit sin.  Just because I know God’s love is able to reach the nastiest person does not mean I mistreat people.  Each day it is my duty to conduct myself in a manner that even unsaved and unchurched people recognize the presence of the Lord.  If we, the Christians, are leading the gossip sessions, how can we lead people to Jesus?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  Do you realize each and every day there are people, you know and people you do not know, watching you.  They may never know your name but they’re watching you.  They may never approach you and conduct a conversation, but they’re watching you.  I was raised to believe that wherever I go, someone, somewhere is watching me.  Many years later, I know this to be true.  We are ambassadors (an authorized representative or messenger) for Christ.  We are sent to be messengers.  My friend, As He Is, So Are We!  The Bible declares in 1 John 4:17 – Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.  No longer can I claim to be a Christian with my mouth but behave devilish in my actions.  It is time for us to walk and talk the same message.  Whether people treat you right or wrong, we are commanded to love one another (1 Peter 1:22).

My brother, my sister, are you reflecting Jesus Christ wherever you go?  Do you need to be in church in order for you to feel effective?  Can the unsaved see a difference in you or do you blend in with everyone else?  It is time for the body of Christ to stand up and be noticed.  We have hidden for far too long.  The world has strayed away from the Godly principles it was established upon and the body of Christ is afraid to stand for righteousness sake.  Beloved, As He Is, So Are We!  The Bible declares in Romans 12:2 – And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.  The Lord is seeking such a one who will worship Him in spirit and in truth (John 4:23-24), … is that ‘one’ you?  My Prayer for You Today: Father, allow my brother/sister to walk in the boldness you impregnated within him/her.  In the name of Jesus … Amen!

Scripture Reading for Today: 2 Corinthians 5:20

May God Bless you at Your point of need!
