The Lord Requires Quality Time!

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  When was the last time you told the Lord thank you?  Thank you, not because of the many things you have, but for God being God.  Thanking Him for being all-seeing, all-knowing, and always there.  Thanking Him for never leaving you nor forsaking you.  Thanking Him for standing on guard against your enemies and foes.  Thanking Him for being a friend when no one else could be trusted.  Thanking Him for being a comforter when chaos, confusion, tragedy, and/or loneliness came against you.  When was the last time you spent quality time with the Lord?  Time uninterrupted by people or materialistically distractions.  Time when you rested in the manifest presence of God.  Time when the only thing you cared about was hearing God’s voice.  Time when being with the Lord, in your secret place, meant more than watching your favorite television program.  Time when you realized what you stood in need of would only come from the Lord Himself.

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  Have you found yourself experiencing challenges on every side?  Are you stuck in the middle of a dilemma?  If yes is your answer, allow me to ask you another important question.  During this time in your life, how often do you rely on God for instructions, guidance and direction?  Are you a one-sided believer?  This means a person who only goes to God when things are going wrong in their life.  As long as things are good, you do not need the Lord (so you think.)  My friend, The Lord Requires Quality Time!  The Bible declares in Psalms 91:1 – He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.  Any person you claim to love is a person you spend personal time with.  It is impossible for anyone to claim they love God and never spend any personal, intimate time with Him.  How would you feel if your companion claimed to love you, but never had any time for you?  How would it make you feel if your companion always had excuses when it came to spending quality time with you?

My brother, my sister, The Lord Requires Quality Time!  God wants His own time with you.  He wants time directly centered around Him.  No interruptions.  No distractions.  No interference.  When was the last time this happened in your life?  Are you always finding excuses when God requests time with you?  The Bible declares in John 10:27 – My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me:  Beloved, imagine if God made excuses every time you came to Him with a request.  Imagine how you would feel if the Lord turned a deaf ear to your voice.  We never want to imagine God doing it to us, but we often do it to Him.  Today, I challenge you to re-evaluate your walk with the Lord.  How much time do you spend with God each day?  How much time do you spend in prayer, praise, worship, Bible reading, or laying in God’s presence?  Child of God, there is something awesome that occurs when you give God personal time.  The Lord Requires Quality Time! Prayer for Today: Father, I am who I am because You have performed great works in my life.  I desire to spend quality time with You … alone!  Lets start today.  In Jesus’ name … Amen!

Scripture Reading for Today: Isaiah 59:1

May God Bless you at Your point of need!
