T.G.I.F. (The God I Follow)!

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever found yourself trying to explain to others why God continues to bless your steps?  For some apparent reason, you feel the need to apologize for being blessed and try explaining why it is that God blesses you.  Even if you try to explain it, you really do not understand yourself.  We have not lived sin-free.  We have not been perfect and upright.  We have fallen short many times and we have the potential to fall again.  God’s choice to bless you had nothing to do with the sweet voice you spoke with.  He was not overwhelmed by your smooth vocabulary.  Have you ever had people judge you because God was doing for you what they wanted Him to do for them?  In stead of believing God for their personal lives, people begin to use their energy against the chosen vessels of God.  Are you the chosen vessel or the jealous person?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  Lets talk briefly this morning.  If you look back over your life, you can conclude one thing: It’s the Lord’s doing and it is marvelous in my eyes (Psalms 118:22-23).  No matter how you try to understand it or explain it, God’s ways are higher than your ways and His thoughts are higher than your thoughts (Isaiah 55:8).  Stop trying to dress up what God is doing in your life.  It is time for us to be honest with others and ourselves.  The truth of the matter really is God desires to do it.  When people question how you received bountiful blessings, turn to them and say one thing … T.G.I.F. (The God I Follow)!  It is the God you follow that enables you to experience His abundance.  My friend, be not deceived.  Just because God is blessing you does not mean you are entitled to selfish ways.  You are blessed to bless.  The blessings of God were sent to you, that they may go through you for someone else.

My brother, my sister, your life is blessed because God saw fit to do it.  We were all headed for a life of hell and separation.  We all needed and still need the mercy of God.  Encourage those around you.  They need not be jealous of you.  The same God who blesses you, is the same God who can bless them as well.  Beloved, when people stare and point, allow your response to their questions to be: T.G.I.F. (The God I Follow)!  It is the Lord, not us.  The Bible declares in John 15:16 – Ye have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in My name, He may give it you.  You are a chosen vessel of God.  He desires to use you for great things.  Do not allow the insecurities of others to detour you from your destiny.  The next time a person questions why God is blessing you, do not get upset or consumed with anger.  Look them right in the eyes and say … T.G.I.F. (The God I Follow)!Prayer for Today: Father, all that I have came from You.  All that I desire comes from You.  All that I will have, will come from You.  Thank You for it all.  In Jesus’ name … Amen!

Scripture Reading for Today: Joshua 24:15

May God Bless you at Your point of need!
