You Owe God Your All!

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever made God a promise that you still have not upheld?  You promised if He got you out of that situation you would never return again.  You promised to do better and treat others better.  You promised to do His will and do it His way.  Have you vowed to share the love of God with everyone, everyday, everywhere?  Have you kept your promise to the Lord?  So often in our lives we make promises because we find ourselves in need of an immediate resolution.  In the midst of making the promises, your mouth is speaking but your heart is not sincere.  The promise sounded great and you even appeared convincing.  However, what man does not discern God can.  Understand, we are not perfect people.  We make mistakes.  We come short everyday.  We know this and God knows this.  In spite of it all, your imperfection should never become your crutch to knowingly commit sin.

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister.  My friend, You Owe God Your All!  You owe God more than you currently give Him.  You owe God more than you give anyone else.  While it seems easy to applaud man for what they promise to do for us, we should extol God for what He has done and also promised to do.  If the truth were told, God’s promises are the only ones we can be assure of each day.  The Bible declares in 2 Corinthians 1:20 – For all the promises of God in Him are yea, and in Him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.  Child of God, if we know God is able to do exceeding, abundantly above all we ask or think, what more will it take for you to open your heart and offer God your best (Ephesians 3:20).  You Owe God Your All!  The blessings you currently enjoy are not deserved by you.  The blessings you enjoy are direct results of God’s love for you.  The Bible declares in Romans 5:8 – But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

My brother, my sister, no career, no loved one, no materialistic possession, no educational degree should receive more than you give God.  The Bible tells us that God is a jealous God (Exodus 20:5).  I want you to think back over your life.  Think of the trials and tribulations you experienced down through the years.  Think of the times money was low but bills remained paid.  Think of the unemployment season(s) when God kept food in the house and peace in your mind.  Think of the traps and snares set against you that did not prosper.  You Owe God Your All!  Beloved, I assure you God has done more for you than anyone, anywhere.  If it had not been for the Lord, who was on your side, you would have been swallowed up (Psalms 124:1-3).  What person, place, or thing have you exalted higher than God?  What person, place or thing do you trust when times are hard?  Who are you giving your all too?  It should always be God … always!  Prayer for Today: Father, today I give You my all.  I give You everything that I should have given before.  Thank You for being there when everything seemed chaotic and everyone was disappearing.  I bless You, in Jesus’ name … Amen!
