Watch and Pray!

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever been somewhere or around certain people and you noticed improper things taking place?  You wondered if someone would ever say anything about the situation.  Your wondered if others were seeing what you saw.  It never crossed your mind that you could make a difference or a change.  Have you ever found yourself in the same situation over and over again?  Just when you escape or vacated one matter, the very next matter brought the same challenges and attacks.  There were people speaking ill will against you once again.  As soon as you recovered from the last assault the enemy sent another rampage against you. During this year you vowed to stop doing what you were doing and start living in a way that was pleasing to God.  It is now the month of May, has your vow been kept?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My friend, so many things take place day in and day out.  Your eyes see so many different things that sometimes no one else may see or notice.  There are times when you wonder if there’s anything you can do to make things better.  God has sent me here to tell you there is something you can do … Watch and Pray!  The Bible declares in Matthew 26:41 – Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.  Understand, you are where you are for a purpose.  God has placed you on that job, in that home, in that class, at that church, or within that organization for a specific reason.  Everyone cannot handle what God has equipped you to handle.  It makes no sense for you to call others and vent to them.  They cannot help you.  God has positioned each of us in certain places for certain times to perform certain tasks.

My brother, my sister, it is times for you to Watch and Pray!  The Bible declares in Mark 13:33 – Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.  Beloved, allow me to add this significant point in at this time.  Just because everything appears calm and under control does not mean you should stop watching and praying.  You need to always be on the wall looking ahead to spot any uproar(s) from the enemy.  The Bible declares in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 – Pray without ceasing.  Child of God, where you are today, what tragedy has occurred?  What situation has you surrounded?  Are you praying for God’s will to be revealed or are you allowing the enemy to overtake everything and everyone?  Watch and Pray!  The Bible declares in James 5:16 – Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.  On this day, do not allow the enemy to catch you off your post.  Prayer for Today: Father, I am aware that You have me here for a specific reason.  Allow me to always remain watchful and prayerful.  In Jesus’ name … Amen!

Scripture Reading for Today: Matthew 21:22

May God Bless you at Your point of need!
