It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God. How often do you tell the Lord, “thank you?” Do you wait until something miraculous happens in your life before you display appreciation? Do you wait until the preacher instructs you to say it? Do you have to feel a certain way or be in the right mood to do it? Do you have to make time to do it? I often wonder if we, as children of God, really understand how blessed we are to call God our Father. So often we become consumed with the cares of this world that we lose sight on how awesome God really is. Imagine how you would feel if your child only displayed love and affection toward you when (s)he was trying to get something from you. There are times when we behave this way with God.
This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you. I am just as guilty as the next man. Yes you can be anointed and still lack appreciation. Yes you can jump real high, shout real good, dance acrobatically, and still lack gratitude. There are times when we allow the applauds of the crowd to bombard us. We begin to believe the chants. Be careful! People are very fickle. They will cry hosanna today and crucify him/her tomorrow. My friend, Do Not Wait To Late To Praise God! Whether you admit it or not, no man knows the day or the hour when the Son of Man will appear (Matthew 25:13). Therefore, now is the perfect time and where you are is the perfect place. The Bible declares in 1 Thessalonians 5:18 – In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
My brother, my sister, have you forgotten all the wonderful things God has done in your life? Have you forgotten the many traps God kept you from falling in? Have you forgotten the nights God consoled you and the days He conversed with you? Have you forgotten the provision the Lord made for you and your family? Have you forgotten the way He keeps opening doors for you? If your mind has begun reminiscing over God’s faithfulness, this is the perfect time to stop and tell Him THANK YOU! No one else can praise Him for you or like you. Beloved, Do Not Wait To Late To Praise God! The Bible declares in Psalms 92:1 – IT IS A GOOD THING TO GIVE THANKS UNTO THE LORD, AND TO SING PRAISES UNTO THY NAME, O MOST HIGH:
