When The Going Gets Tough …

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever experienced a crucial point in your life when it appeared as if everything was falling apart?  For some reason things went ballistic at the wrong time.  While you were working to get one side nailed down, the other side unexpectedly popped up.  With no time to spare you are now stuck trying to nail both sides down by yourself.  Have you ever been hit with unforeseen circumstances?  Just when you thought it was okay to relax, one phone call, one e-mail, one doctor’s visit, one meeting with your supervisor has changed everything.  Yesterday you were planning for retirement, but today you are seeking employment.  Yesterday you were admiring how bright your future was, today you are being haunted by your past.

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  Child of God, have you ever been there?  Are you there now?  If you have been there before, what did you learn?  No matter how successful we claim to be or desire to be, each of us will experience challenges in life.  While this is certain, we must be able to see God in everything.  Just because things appear hectic does not mean God has neglected His promises to you.  My friend, When The Going Gets Tough … The Tough Gets Going!  The Bible declares in Psalms 37:25  I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.  During the tough times in your life, it is there that you must know God is real.  You cannot find yourself falling apart when the God you serve is able to make the impossible very possible.

My brother, my sister, what are you going through today?  What are you faced with this morning?  What dilemma do you find yourself in the middle of?  Can you see the light at the end of the tunnel?  Do things appear bleak and dark?  Beloved, during the worse times in each of our lives we must never lose sight of the power of God.  Just because you cannot see how things will work out for the good does not mean God cannot do it (Romans 8:28).  When The Going Gets Tough … this is the time to depend on God.  The Bible declares in Psalms 121:3 – He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.  No matter what you are going through at this point in your life, I declare prophetically that the end of a thing is better than its beginning (Ecclesiastes 7:8).  My Prayer for You: Father, remind my brother/sister that You specialize in the things that seem impossible.  In the name of Jesus … Amen!

Scripture Reading for Today: James 1:3-4

May God Bless you at Your point of need!
