It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God. Have you ever found yourself repeating the same cycle in your life? For some reason you found yourself hanging with the same jealous people. You attended the same boring events week after week. You continued to make the same mistakes day after day. No matter how awful it made you feel you constantly engaged in the same activities. Have you ever found yourself having to repeat yourself all the time? No matter where you go, you find yourself having to always give the same instructions and rules. As a result, frustration and anger consume your mind and body. There are times in each of our lives when we find ourselves doing the same things, the same way all the time. We hate when people bring it to our attention but within we know their telling us the truth.
This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you. My friend, When Is Enough, Enough? When do you get to the point where you are tired of doing the same things? When do you get to the point when you are tired of committing the same sins? I have learned that we as a people are funny. We love to point out someone else’s faults and shortcomings, but we hate to have ours pointed out. The Bible declares in Hebrews 12:1 – Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us. There comes a time in each of our lives when we must make an internal decision. This decision must come from within us not someone else. Until this happens, we will never stop the cycle.
My brother, my sister, When Is Enough, Enough? When do you get tired of having God convict you about the same things each day? When do you get tired of behaving in hypocrisy? When do you get tired of preaching good but living wrong? The same Bible you read to find an answer to your questions, is the same Bible you must live according to. The Bible declares in Hebrews 4:12 – For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. After all you have endured in your life, when do you get tired of riding the roller-coasters of life? Beloved, it is time for you to declare that the cycle will end TODAY!
