Early Morning Worship!

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever found yourself walking the floor late at night or during the early part of the morning?  For some reason you were not asleep.  Maybe there was something or someone heavy on your mind.  You found yourself pacing the floor in intercession.  Have you ever found yourself up at night because of worry and anxiety?  Once again you are concerned about having enough money to pay each bill.  You know, from before, that God is able to provide for you.  The last time this happened the Lord faithfully intervened but for some reason you do not believe He can or will do it again.  As much as God proves Himself you continuously battle fear and a lack of trust.  Have you been there?  Are you there now?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  Today I want to share with you something I found that really works.  My friend, it is Early Morning Worship!  It is the worship that occurs when everything and everyone in your home is sound asleep.  It is the worship that occurs when it appears that nature has taken a break from noise.  It is a time when no phone is ringing, no computer is running, no children are begging, no job is demanding, no spouse is complaining, no bill collectors are calling, and no food is spoiling.  It is the time when you feel the presence of God the most.  There’s something about the early morning that keeps you wanting more each day.  The Bible declares in Psalms 63:1 – O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;  You have come to notice how well your day unfolds when you have spent the one-on-one time with the Lord.

My brother, my sister, the same way you long for God in the early morning, God also longs to be with you.  Do you understand how much God loves you?  His love goes far beyond mere words.  He is an action God.  He desires to prove Himself to us.  Just as a husband longs to spend quality time with His wife, so does the Lord long to spend uninterrupted time with you and me.  Beloved, it is Early Morning Worship!  It is the time when you are able to lay prostrate in the presence of God and no ushers are trying to pick you up.  It is the time when you can cry out to the Lord and you do not have hundreds of eyes staring at you.  The Bible declares in Psalms 90:14 – O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.  As you go forth today, remember this: Praise comes from your mouth but worship comes from your heart.  Starting this day, stop sleeping in late but get up early and seek the Lord.
