Are You Out Of Touch?

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever felt misunderstood by family and friends?  They see you each and every day, but for some reason they still do not understand you.  They know you by name but do not understand you.  They converse with you on a regular basis, but they do not understand you.  They smile in your face each day but they do not understand you.  Why is this?  It’s because they are out of touch with you.  Many times people know of you, but they do not know you.  They can call your name and tell people things about you, but they do not know you on a personal level.  Have you ever been there before?  You knew of someone, but you did not know them personally.  On this Christian journey, there are many brothers and sisters who know of God but they do not know God intimately.  Are you there now?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My friend, Are You Out Of Touch?  Are you operating under the assumption that you know and understand God?  It is amazing how we can attend church every Sunday, but never fully trust in the Lord.  It is amazing how we can quote Bible verses without any complications, but we never refer to them when the storms of life begin to rage.  The Bible declares in Matthew 7:21 – Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven. Do you realize God is the same God when you are on the mountain top, as well as when you are in the valley (Hebrews 13:8)?  He does not change (Malachi 3:6).  When our daily circumstances consume us, it usually means we have fallen out of touch with God and His abilities.

My brother, my sister, Are You Out Of Touch?  Have you strayed away from the presence of God?  Have you placed your trust in others or are you still seeking after the Lord?  The Bible declares in Psalms 118:8 – It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.  Beloved, the worse feeling in the world is to think you know but you really do not.  Many people think they know God, but they really do not.  If the truth were told, we know of God based on what others preach and teach us.  Instead of reading, studying, and meditating on the Word of God, we depend on someone else’s interpretation.  Allow me to share one important thing with you.  The only way you can fall out of touch with the Lord, is if you choose to do so.  God desires to commune with you, but you must desire it as well.  Prayer for Today: Father, help me to always remain in close fellowship with You.  Allow me to always trust in You, no matter how things appear.  In the name of Jesus … Amen!

Scripture Reading for Today: John 10:27

May God Bless you at Your point of need!
