When Your Promise Appears Threatened?

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Has God ever promised you something that dropped you to your knees in worship?  Has God ever promised you something that others tried their best to destroy or prevent from happening?  Has God ever promised to take you somewhere you know man could never take you?  Has God ever promised you something that your current bank statement did not compliment?  Has God ever promised you something that made you question if He really said it or not?  Has God ever promised you something that your current living conditions did not agree with?  Has God ever promised you something that your level of education did not compare with?  Has God ever promised you something that eyes have not seen nor ears have not heard?  If He has …

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My friend, what do you do When Your Promise Appears Threatened?  What do you do when people tell you it will never come to pass?  What do you do when everything around you appears to be going in the opposite direction of the promise?  What do you do when no one seems to believe in you or the promise?  During this time there are two things you must always do.  Number one: you must always remember Who made the promise.  The Bible declares in 2 Corinthians 1:20 – For all the promises of God in Him are yea, and in Him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.  If God made a promise to you, bank on it.  It shall not nor will not fail.  The Lord does not make any promises He cannot nor will not keep.  It does not matter who believes as long as you believe He will do it.  People will doubt when they see nothing happening, but they will come back and celebrate after it has come to pass.  Beware of people who are quick to doubt and walk away from you.

My brother, my sister, what do you do When Your Promise Appears Threatened? Number two: you must always remind yourself of the promise He made you.  Never expect other people to encourage you along the way.  If they do that is great.  But if you always expect it from them, you may become sorely disappointed.  Learn to encourage yourself in the Lord.  Sometimes people cannot encourage themselves, therefore it is difficult for them to encourage you.  The Bible declares in Hebrews 10:36 – For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.  There’s never a question of, can God do it but when will God do it?  No matter if others walk away in disbelief always remind yourself of the promise and Who made it.  Prayer for Today: Father, there is no lying in You.  Therefore, whatever You promise it shall come to pass.  In the name of Jesus … Amen!  Until Monday …
