What Is This?

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Are there any areas in your life that need improving?  Are there any faults or mistakes that you need to correct?  Are there any words or phrases you need to eliminate from your vocabulary?  Are there certain behaviors and attitudes you need to cast off of you?  Some times in life we act the way our surroundings have taught us.  Without discerning the truth, there are times when we take on the ways and characteristics of the world.  The way they act, we act.  The way they talk, we talk.  The way they think, we think.  The way they serve, we serve.  Somewhere along the way things got twisted.  Instead of the body of Christ influencing the world, the world is now influencing the body of Christ.  This way of life is in opposition to the word of God.  How can a confessed believer of Jesus live a life that glorifies the world?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  The Bible declares in Romans 12:1-2 – I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.  My friend, What Is This?  We are charged through the word of God to be the transformers.  We are called to transform a nation for the Lord Jesus Christ.  Allow me to ask you a question: What are you doing to change the world for Jesus?  Each and every day, what are you doing to draw people closer to covenant relationship with the Lord?  This question is not based on your traditional understanding, your amount of years at one particular church, or your assigned seat at that church.  Whose life are you impacting?

My brother, my sister, What Is This?  When did we start living our life according to the rules and commandments of the world?  We are sent to change the world for Christ, not conform to the world.  When people look upon you there should be an anointing that draws them to intimacy with the Lord.  The Bible declares Matthew 6:24 – No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other …  We must commit to upholding Godly principles each and every day.  The world will never come to Jesus, if the Believers are not consistent in their relationship.  Beloved, enough is enough.  Today, we need to re-assess our lives.  We need to repent.  Prayer for Today: Father, forgive us for conforming to ways of the world.  We have been called to transform the world for Your glory.  We’ve heard the clarion call and now we shall walk in obedience.  In the name of Jesus … Amen!

Scripture Reading for Today: Isaiah 1:19

May God Bless you at Your point of need!
