Have You Lost Your Zeal?

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  You know God is THE awesome God.  He reigns from Heaven above with wisdom, power, and love.  The God we serve is THE awesome God.  This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  Throughout life each of us will experience challenges and circumstances.  As Job declared in Job 14:1 – Man that is born of a woman is of few days and full of trouble.  When you first committed your life to the Lord, you walked away excited about the endless opportunities to minister to others.  Some people probably told you there would be no more troubles in your life.  You walked away believing exactly what they said.  How wrong they were!  There will still be people who are jealous of you.  There will still be people who mock and ridicule you.  There will still be people who try there best to tear you down.  There will still be traps set in your path.   However, now that you have given your life completely to the Lord, you learn that the battle is not yours (2 Chronicles 20:15).

Since you have been walking in covenant with the Lord, have you seen drastic changes in your life?  Have you grown in grace and knowledge?  Have you impacted other people’s lives?  Are you blessing or hindering others?  Do you realize God sanctified (set apart) you for more than bragging rights?  He set you apart for His glory.  He desires to use you on your job, in your community, at your church, within your home, wherever else you may go.  He did not raise you up so gossip and rumors could consume your conversation.  Having said all of this, I have been assigned to ask you a question (and then conclude this devotional).  My friend, Have You Lost Your Zeal?

FYI: Zeal = eagerness and ardent interest in pursuit of God; fervor.  Prayer for Today: Father, I pray for the recipient of today’s devotional.  I pray that the fire that burns within them will never go out.  I pray that they will always desire to do Your will.  In the name of Jesus … Amen!

Scripture Reading for Today: James 5:16, Revelation 2:4

May God Bless you at Your point of need!
