Don’t Let Your Brother (Sister) Fall!

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever found yourself faced with a very tough decision?  The decision weighed heavy on your mind.  The outcome would not be appreciated by everyone but you knew it was necessary.  Many would walk away in disbelief, while others would encourage you.  Have you ever had to sit down with a friend or family member and correct them in love?  You watched the direction they were heading in and the Lord pricked your heart to go to them.  Along the way, you noticed their walk and talk were not complimenting each other.  As uncomfortable as it may have felt, you knew the Lord was telling you to approach him or her.  Have you ever seen someone changing for the worse?  As time went on, (s)he began to behave in ways that were unpleasing to the Lord.  (S)He began to engage in activities that (s)he knew was wrong.  Are you that person?  Do you know that person?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  Today, we live in a world where wrong is considered right and right is considered wrong.  The commandments of God have been overlooked by the laws developed through man (Matthew 15:6).  Many friends and family members have gone astray because of unfulfilled promises made by the enemy.  Some have become shackled down by their mistakes or the judgments of ‘church folk.’   My friend, Don’t Let Your Brother (Sister) Fall! The Bible declares in Matthew 18:15 – Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.  So often we watch our brothers and sisters falling before us but we do not feel compelled to prevent it from happening.  What if it were you?  Would you want someone to help you back to your feet?  Do you not know that we are responsible for one another?  The same God who forgave your sins, is the same God who can forgive your brother or sister’s sins.

My brother, my sister, Don’t Let Your Brother (Sister) Fall!  Do not turn your back and attempt to ignore the sin which consumes him or her.  The Lord positioned you there for a specific reason.  Do not wait until after (s)he falls, if you know it could have been prevented.  The Bible declares in Romans 3:23 – For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.  Beloved, we have a charge to keep and a God to glorify.  Have you forsaken your brother or sister?  Have you consumed yourself with selfish desires and overlooked the needs of those around you?  Have you become self-centered in stead of God-centered?  Are you upset with me because there are so many questions?  Don’t Let Your Brother (Sister) Fall!  It is time for us, the body of Christ, to restore our brothers and sisters back to the fold.  Gossiping destroys the family God has built.  Prayer for Today: Father, today help me to help my brother or sister.  Strengthen me that I may strengthen them.  I vow to not let them fall.  In Jesus’ name … Amen!

Scripture Reading for Today: Matthew 12:11

May God Bless you at Your point of need!
