It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever wanted to give up on yourself?  You vowed to stop living a certain way, but the more you tried to stop the worse it got.  Have you ever been disappointed with yourself?  In spite of all you have achieved, you still critique yourself.  Do you ever stop long enough to enjoy life?  Do you ever sit down and enjoy your family and friends?  Do you enjoy being with yourself?  So often in our lives we spend most of our time doing busy work but never productive work.  Always on the go, but never knowing where you are going.  Have you been there?  Are you there now?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  Do you ever ask yourself, “Why am I doing what I am doing?”  Many times we do things because we believe it is expected of us.  Your heart is not in it, but if it will make everyone happy then you do it.  There has to come a time in your life when what you do is done for the Lord.  I understand you want to make family and friends happy, but if you are not happy doing it then you are not being real with yourself or God.  My friend, Where Is Your Heart Now?  The Bible declares in Psalms 19:14 – Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.  When you first started the work, there was a glow surrounding you.  Wherever you were needed, you were willing to go.  As time has passed, your glow has diminished.  It is no longer ministry, but now it is obligation.  It is no longer for the glory of God, but due to fear of rejection.

My brother, my sister, Where Is Your Heart Now?  Have you lost your passion?  Are you still committed?  If not, why are you still involved?  You must understand one important thing.  Although you aim to please man from the outside, God views your inside (the heart).  Your heart reveals your true essence (1 Samuel 16:7).  The Bible declares in Matthew 5:8 – Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.  Dear friend, when you refuse to operate from your heart, you pollute your life.  Whatever your heart beats after is what will keep you going.  The Bible declares in Matthew 12:34 – … for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.  Where Is Your Heart Now?  Are you still excited about the things of God?  Have you taken on more than you can handle?  Do you have hidden anger toward someone?  Is your mouth speaking what your heart is leaking?  Thought to Ponder: If your heart is no longer there, why are you?
