It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God. What do you do when everything in life seems to be wrong? What do you do when the people, places, and things you once enjoyed, no longer satisfy you? How do you handle change? Can you bear being alone? So often in our lives we become dependent on everything and everyone. When a decision has to be made, we have to call our family and friends for advice. No dependency on God! Does this sound like you? Have you been there? Are you there now?
This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you. Great Is The Lord! My friend, after you seek your family and your friend’s advice, what do you do if their advice was wrong? The Lord God is a great God. He only wants the best for His people. The Bible declares in Psalms 145:3 – Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and His greatness is unsearchable. Do you know the Lord loves you? He loves you in spite of your faults and failures. Your rights and wrongs. Your confessed and unconfessed sins. How many people do you know would love you even when you have done wrong? The Bible declares in 1 Chronicles 16:25 – For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised: He also is to be feared above all gods.
My brother, my sister, Great Is The Lord! When your situation seems impossible, He is still great. When everything and everyone has gone away, He is still great. When money has run low, He is still great. When you face difficulties in your relationships or friendships, He is still great. When people lie, gossip and spread rumors about you, He is still great. The Bible declares in Psalms 48:1 – Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of His holiness. In spite of it all, Great Is The Lord! Thought to Remember: When you want to give up on life, call on the Lord … He is Great!
