It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever met someone who felt as if they could treat you any kind of way?  These are the people who speak to you in nasty ways.  Truthfully speaking, sometimes these people are not just co-workers, but they are spouses, relatives, church leaders, etc.  Quite often its people who you would never expect it from.  Have you ever befriended someone who loved to hold things over your head?  Sometimes these are people who knew you before you accepted Christ as your Savior.  Since they know the old you, they often want to remind you of your old nature … as if you have forgotten.  Child of God, you are redeemed by the Lord.  Stop living in bondage to the threats of man.  Scripture declares in 2 Corinthians 5:17 – Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My friend, the next time someone in your life threatens to walk out on you, look them right in the eyes and say, “If You’re Going To Leave, Then Leave!”  You must get to a point in your life where you stop trying to force people to remain.  If they want to leave, let them go.  If they think your life will fall apart once they walk away, let them walk away and see what the Lord does in return.  Have you forgotten where your help comes from?  Have you forgotten who keeps watch over you?  It is not some fine brother or sexy sister, it is the Holy Spirit of God.  It is the Blood of Jesus that serves as a shield and buckler, not some brother with a tight muscle shirt.  The Bible declares in Psalms 118:8 – It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.

My brother, my sister, why are you allowing people to manipulate you?  Why are you allowing people to suck you dry?  Why are you allowing people to verbally and mentally tear you down?  Beloved, you are a child of the KING!  This means you are not just any child, you are GOD’S child.  Your Daddy does not play that.  He can and will take care of you whether people believe it or not.  From this day forth, stop running behind people.  Stop trying to fit in with people who you know mean no good.  Stop trying to assure yourself that “such and such” thinks well of you.  If they do not, so what!  It is time for you to tell certain people, “If You’re Going To Leave, Then Leave!”  The Bible declares in Jeremiah 29:11 – For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
