It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God. This morning when you woke up, what was the first thing on your mind? Did you arise thinking about another day having to endure the job? Did you arise complaining about your spouse or your children? Did you arise thinking about bills left unpaid? Did you arise wondering what people have said about you or what they are thinking about you? [OR] Did you arise wanting to bring glory unto the Lord? So often we find ourselves focused on a life that pleases man until we find ourselves displeasing the Lord. You do realize you cannot serve two masters? You do realize God should always be first? You do realize God is the sustainer of life, supplier of needs, giver of blessings and protector in battle?
My brother, my sister, from this day forward make pleasing God your number one priority. Make serving the Lord your top choice. Make bringing a smile to the Lord your great mission. Make satisfying our God your motivation each and every day. Until we get to this point, how can we truly expect the Lord to fully release all He has for us? The Bible declares in 1 Corinthians 2:9 – But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. Stop trying to manipulate the Lord as if he is someone you can get over on. Stop trying to bargain with the Lord for a better deal. My friend, serve the Lord with gladness (Psalms 100:2). Beloved, …
