Change Starts Within!

Friday, September 30th, 2016

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever wanted to change something about another person?  Over time you have noticed things about your friend or spouse that you would love to change.  Have you ever wanted to change something about yourself?  After self-evaluating yourself, you noticed an area in your life that could be better.  Have you ever been somewhere and over time you begin to re-decorate the place?  Certain colors did not appeal to you.  So often in our lives, we desire to change everything and everyone.  We notice the mistakes of others before we notice our own.  Have you ever been there?  Are you there now?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  When you notice mistakes in your friend’s life, are you quick to bring it to their attention?  When someone notices mistakes in your life, are you able to accept constructive criticism?  My friend, Change Starts Within!  One of the biggest problems we face in our world today, is the failure to make changes for the better.  The Bible declares in Matthew 7:3 - And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?  When problems arise on your job, how do you handle the situation?  Are you quick to complain and gossip or do you walk away and begin to pray?  In your home, when something needs to be done, do you take the initiative or do you wait for someone else to do it?  Change Starts Within!  Before we can expect someone else to change, we must begin to change ourselves.  God is sufficient toward us.  He is willing and able to assist us in any areas of our lives.

My brother, my sister, change is not always a bad thing.  So often we become complacent in certain areas and situations.  We stop expecting the sun to shine.  The Bible declares in 1 Corinthians 2:9 - But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love himChange Starts Within!  Today, what are you going through?  In your life, where have you given up?  Within yourself, if you believe that things can and will get better, they can and will.  If you trust in the Sovereignty of God, you will see His glory manifested for you.  Many people have given up on you.  They do not believe you can change.  Your situation seems unbearable.  The vision God gave you, appears to be unreachable.  Change Starts Within!  You must learn to minister to yourself.  You must begin to speak life to yourself.  You must change the way you walk, talk, think and live.  The Bible declares in Proverbs 18:21 - Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.  Thought to Remember: Self-evaluate yourself, before you criticize someone else.

How Do You Represent Christ?

Thursday, September 29th, 2016

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever known someone who said they were a child of God?  They made sure everyone knew what church they attended.  Have you ever met a mean and rude Believer?  A person who shouts at church services but will not speak away from church.  Have you ever attempted to witness to someone, but they rejected everything you said?  Before you could finish your sentence, they either cut you off or walked away.  Have you ever preached one thing but lived another?  You fail to practice what you preach.  Can you relate to any of these questions?  Do you know someone who can?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My friend, How Do You Represent Christ?  When others look at you, what do they see?  Who do they see?  So often in our lives, we talk Christ but do not live Christ.  We proclaim to love everyone, but we do not display love for everyone.  We asked God to use us for His glory, but we spend eight hours on our job complaining.  We get upset if our song is not sang on Sunday morning.  We hug people on Sundays, but avoid them on Mondays.  The Bible declares in Matthew 5:16 - Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.  We, as Believers, are commanded to represent Christ wherever we go.  How Do You Represent Christ?  Do you use or misuse your gifts for the Lord?  Do you cherish your anointing?  The Bible declares in Matthew 5:14 - Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

My brother, my sister, How Do You Represent Christ?  Each day presents different challenges and dilemmas.  The enemy never rest from attempting to attack you.  There will always be co-workers who speak against you.  Supervisors who upset you.  The Bible declares in Matthew 5:13 - Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.  On your job, How Do You Represent Christ?  In your home, How Do You Represent Christ?  At school, How Do You Represent Christ?  In the mall or grocery store, How Do You Represent Christ?  When you are cut-off in traffic, How Do You Represent Christ?  When you have been lied on and misused, How Do You Represent Christ?  When your “friend” turns his/her back on you, How Do You Represent Christ?  The Bible declares in Luke 8:16 - No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.  Thought to Remember: Your light should reflect Christ.

It Was God’s Unconditional Love

Wednesday, September 28th, 2016

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Do you know that God loves you?  In spite of all that we have done wrong in our lives.  Do you know that God has placed angels over you?  Angels have been assigned to watch over you each day.  Do you know that you are more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus?  No matter how bizarre things look in your life, you are victorious in the Lord.  So often in our lives, we lose sight on the true essence of God’s love.  His love is not based on conditional things (as man’s is).  God’s love is unconditional (Greek - agape).  Have you ever felt unloved and unliked by people?  You wanted everyone to like and accept you.  God’s love toward us, enables us to be who God created us to be.

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  Think about where you were five years ago?  Were you living for Christ?  Were you living with a defeated mind?  Did you have a mean and nasty attitude?  Were you wrapped up, tied up and tangled up in mess?  Look at you now!  My friend, It Was God’s Unconditional Love!  Man could not change you.  Many people gave up on you.  After all you have been through in your life, It Was God’s Unconditional Love that allowed you to make through.  The Bible declares in Romans 5:8 - But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.  The Lord loves you so much.  At your lowest point(s) in life, God stayed at your side (Psalms 46:1).  When your place of employment became stressful and chaotic, God gave you peace within (John 14:27).  When your finances were not where you wanted them, God made provision (Philippians 4:19).

My brother, my sister, It Was God’s Unconditional Love!  No matter what your dilemma is today.  No matter how uncertain the outcome appears.  No matter how negative the report looks.  The love of God did not bring you this far to leave you.  When you did not love yourself, God still loved you.  When you found it difficult to love other people, God gave you a good example.  The Bible declares in 1 John 4:16 - And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.  It Was God’s Unconditional Love!  Through dangers seen and unseen, God’s love protected you.  Through troubles, heartaches and pains, God’s love sustained you.  In a world of chaos and confusion, God’s love allowed Him to give His only begotten Son for us (John 3:16).  Thought to Remember: Man loves based on what you do for him, but God loves based on what Christ did for us!

Something Happens When Two Touch And Agree!

Tuesday, September 27th, 2016

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever experienced a period of depression and grief?  Things in your life seem to be going wrong.  Have you ever felt alone in this world?  Although there are many people surrounding you, for some reason you feel as though no one can relate to you.  Have you ever wanted to walk away from years of hard work?  Have you ever felt a void in your life?  No matter how much you achieve, you still lack something.  So often in our lives, we endure the questions of life.  We think we are the only person enduring difficult times.  During the tough and trying times of life, God can and will manifest Himself.  Have you ever been in need of assistance?  Are you there now?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My friend, Something Happens When Two Touch And Agree!  It is important for you to have at least one person you can agree with in prayer.  Many people will pray for you, but there comes a time when you need someone to pray with you.  The Bible declares in Matthew 18:19 - Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.  No matter how impossible the situation seems to the natural eye, when two people can agree in prayer [for the same outcome], there are no limitations to the power of God.  Something Happens When Two Touch And Agree!  So often in our lives, we share our deepest secrets and pains with everyone.  We search for anyone who will listen to what we are experiencing.  In return, we begin to receive opinionated advice from each person we opened up to.  Dear friend, after you have received their advice, the matter still exist.  The Bible declares in Matthew 6:33 - But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

My brother, my sister, Something Happens When Two Touch And Agree!  It is important for both of you to agree on the same thing.  The Bible declares in Matthew 18:20 - For where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of them.  When you and your prayer partner come together in agreed prayer, the presence of the Lord is in the midst of you.  Something Happens When Two Touch And Agree!  The Bible declares in 2 Corinthians 3:17 - Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.  What are you currently dealing with?  Is there turmoil on your job?  Do you need release from a stronghold?  Are you sick in your body?  There’s power in prayer.  The situation may seem irreversible at this point, but you must always know God is Sovereign.  The Bible declares in Philippians 4:6 - Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.  Thought to Remember: God hears and answers prayer.

Prayer Is Your Key!

Monday, September 26th, 2016

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever found yourself at the point of no return?  You made some bad decisions that led you in the wrong direction.  Have you ever had to choose between two things?  You desired both, but you knew you could not have both of them.  Have you ever faced dark clouds in your life?  Sickness, depression, loneliness, and death surround you.  Have you ever received word that your job was in jeopardy?  After all the years of service and loyalty, there is a chance you may be unemployed.  Is there hell on your job?  Can you relate to any of theses questions?  Do you know someone who can?  What do you do when life’s problems want to overtake you?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My friend, Prayer Is Your Key!  Prayer is the most effective, yet under-used weapon.  The Bible declares in James 5:16 - Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.  God has given you the key to open door(s) of healing, peace, security, comfort, love, and His presence.  Prayer Is Your Key!  When nothing seems certain in your life, you can always bend your knees in prayer.  During your times of loneliness and despair, prayer will allow you to enter into conversation with Almighty God.  In your life, there are many doors in front of you.  You have family and friends attempting to advise you.  You have co-workers desiring to instruct you.  Your emotions are trying to get the best of you.  Prayer is the secret ingredient that will allow you to discern which door the Lord would want you to enter.  The Bible declares in Matthew 21:22 - And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

My brother, my sister, what are you currently going through?  What dilemma do you face today?  What negative report have you heard?  Prayer Is Your Key!  When friends have walked away, prayer can surround you with new friends (Proverbs 18:24).  When money has dried up, prayer can lead you to the overflow of God’s blessings (Luke 6:38).  When your body has experienced sickness and disease, prayer can direct you to the healing hands of God (Isaiah 53:5).  When your job is in jeopardy, prayer can lead you into the peace of God (Philippians 4:7)(Matthew 6:25-33).  Prayer Is Your Key!  The enemy will attempt to discourage you.  Attacks will come against your mind.  The Bible declares in Matthew 16:19 - And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.  Prayer Is Your Key!  Thought to Remember: When nothing else works, prayer will every time (P.U.S.H. - Pray Until Something Happens).

Just When They Thought You Were Dead

Friday, September 23rd, 2016

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever been wounded by the negative words of your family and friends?  Every time they opened their mouth, jealousy and envy leaked out.  Have you ever been wrongly judged or condemned by your supervisor or co-workers?  Someone spoke falsely about you, now everyone looks at you different.  Has your ministry ever been misunderstood?  You are surrounded by people who want to keep you and your God in a box.  Have you ever been left to recover alone?  Someone or something drained you until you had nothing else to offer.  Have you ever endured divorce, separation or adultery?  Your spouse broke your trust and confidence.  Have you ever received a negative report from your doctor?  You went in for a normal check up and received uncomfortable news.  Can you relate to any of these questions?  Do you know anyone who can?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My friend, we all have endured very hard times.  People you thought you could count on, left you to recover alone.  Your enemies sit and watch you with a smile on their face.  In the midst of all that you have faced in life, I want you to understand that today is your day of resurrection.  Think of all the people, places and things that wanted you to lose in life.  Get them on your mind.  Can you see them?  As you resurrect from life’s heartaches, give God praise.  Just When They Thought You Were Dead, God gave you life again.  The Bible declares in John 10:10 - The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.  After all you have endured, God has rejuvenated you again.  People thought you would never minister again.  No one expected you to recover so soon.

My brother, my sister, Just When They Thought You Were Dead, your God manifested Himself.  The Bible declares in 1 John 4:4 - Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.  Dear friend, you were born to win.  God did not create you to lose.  What are you going through today?  What dilemma do you face?  Who left you for dead?  God does not require for you to seek revenge.  He does not need you to speak for Him.  Do not allow your enemies to push you to evil.  Just When They Thought You Were Dead, love lifted you.  The Bible declares in ? Romans 8:31 - What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?  Today, it is time for you to get back up again.  You have been down too long?  Thought to Remember: Just When They Thought You Were Dead, God brought you back.

Omniscient, Omnipotent, & Omnipresent

Thursday, September 22nd, 2016

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever found yourself in a position of uncertainty?  It seemed as though no one could relate to you or your circumstance.  Have you ever felt threatened by your new role or position in life?  The more God blesses you, the more you worry that something will go wrong.  Have you ever wondered if you were doing what the Lord purposed for your life?  You have a desire to please the Lord at any given cost.  Are you currently faced with a dilemma?  Are you currently running from your problems?  Do you still believe in the power of God’s might?  Can you relate to any of these questions?  Do you know someone who can?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  So often in our lives, we face trouble, heartaches and pains.  We face ups and downs everyday.  Your life resembles a roller coaster.  Never balanced.  My friend, we serve a God that is Omniscient, Omnipotent, & Omnipresent.  What does this mean you might ask?  The Lord is all-knowing, all-powerful and always present.  There are no situations in your life that God does not know about, cannot handle or that He is not present with you.  The Bible declares in Psalms 139:8 - If I ascend up into heaven, Thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, Thou art there.  No matter how difficult the outcome seems in your life, God is Omniscient, Omnipotent, & Omnipresent.  God does not respond to only those who have been in the church for fifty years.  This matters not.  Whether I am new to the faith or an elder, God is still willing and able to help me.  The Bible declares in Psalms 9:9 - The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.

My brother, my sister, the God we serve is Omniscient, Omnipotent, & Omnipresent.  The devil cannot defeat Him.  Demons tremble before Him.  Hell does not threaten Him.  Your storm will not scare Him.  God knows what you are going through.  God is powerful enough to rescue you.  God is present when no one else is willingly to help you.  The Bible declares in Psalms 34:6 - This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.  What are you currently going through?  What have you lost in battle?  What are you believing God for?  Who has walked away from you?  God is Omniscient, Omnipotent, & Omnipresent.  The Bible declares in Psalms 37:39 - But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: He is their strength in the time of trouble.  Get up from your depressed state.  Stop worrying.  Once again, God knows what you are going through.  God is powerful enough to rescue you.  God is present when no one else is willingly to help you.  Thought to Remember: God is able to be whatever you want or need Him to be in your life.

Life Can Hurt Sometimes

Wednesday, September 21st, 2016

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever had a heavy heart?  No matter what you say or do, people refuse to listen.  Have you ever cried out to the Lord?  Life become more challenging as each day went by.  Have you ever questioned whether the sun would shine again?  Currently, all you see and experience are storms.  Have you ever felt handcuffed in ministry?  No matter what you did, someone doubted your integrity and anointing.  So often in our lives, we spend so much time trying to figure out where things went wrong.  We begin to do self-evaluations.  We begin to point the finger at ourselves.  Even when you know you did nothing wrong, you find yourself accepting the blame.  Have you been there?  Are you there now?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  Do you have unanswered questions running through your mind?  You sit back and notice how different people are now.  Once worshipers, now worriers.  Once confident, now complainers.  Once blessers, now back-stabbers.  Once joyous, now jealous.  Things have changed.  You find yourself surrounded but you still feel alone.  My friend, Life Can Hurt Sometimes!  You watch the news and everything sounds negative.  You watch television and everything seems degrading.  You walk the neighborhood and everyone seems afraid.  People have changed.  There are days when you wonder if people still reverence and respect God.  Everywhere you turn, someone is trying to remove the Lord’s name.  Life Can Hurt Sometimes!  It is during the toughest times in your life that God draws closer to you.  The Bible declares in Isaiah 59:1 - Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither His ear heavy, that it cannot hear:  He understands how you feel right now!

My brother, my sister, the Bible declares in James 4:8 - Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you … It is during your challenging and overwhelming times, that you must know who God is (Hebrews 13:8).  You must understand what He can and will do (Ephesians 3:20).  You can never doubt His abilities.   Life Can Hurt Sometimes, but God can heal all the time.  In your life, there are no problems, dilemmas, burdens, worries, concerns or circumstances that God cannot handle.  Even when friends and family forsake you, God will never leave you alone (Hebrews 13:5).  Remember, earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal.  The Bible declares in 2 Corinthians 12:9 - … My grace is sufficient for thee: for My strength is made perfect in weakness …  Thought to Remember: Yes, Life Can Hurt Sometimes, but God will be there all the time.

Will You Bless The Lord At All Times?

Tuesday, September 20th, 2016

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever faced opposition on every side?  No matter where you went or who you went with, someone always opposed what you attempted to do.  Have you ever been surrounded by tragedy and turmoil?  When you finally get one side nailed down, the other side pops up.  Have you ever endured a season of lack?  Your money is funny but you are not laughing.  Have you ever received a negative or uncertain doctor’s report?  Just when everything was going well for you, something changes it.  Have you ever experienced hell on the job?  Just when you thought you had peace, you get a new boss.  Can you relate to any of these questions?  Have you been there?  Are you there now?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  You must understand, opposition will come.  There will always be [at least] one person who opposes you.  Jealousy is a vicious tool of the enemy.  In the midst of what you are currently enduring, I would like to ask you a question.  Are you ready?  Will You Bless The Lord At All Times?  You see, it is easy to give God praise when everything is going your way.  What about when things are not pleasing?  What about when friends and family speak against you?  The Bible declares in Psalms 34:1 - I will bless the LORD at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth.  Can you make this declaration?  No matter how bad it gets, Will You Bless The Lord At All Times?  There are no trials hidden from the presence of God.  No attack can overpower the might of God.  All demons tremble at the name of JESUS.  The Bible declares in Philippians 2:10 - That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

My brother, my sister, Will You Bless The Lord At All Times?  Will you look to Heaven for help (Psalms 121:1)?  Will you seek ye first the Kingdom of God or call your best friend (Matthew 6:33)?  The Bible declares in Psalms 103:1 - Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His holy name.  Can God count on you to declare His glory always?  Does your praise for God require back-up singers, or can you praise Him by yourself?  The enemy desires to steal your praise.  I know things are trying on your job, but there is peace in the praise.  I know there are people who would love to see you fail, but there is release in the praise.  I know your body is tired and weak, but there is strength in the praise.  I know things are uncertain and uncomfortable, but there is joy in the praise.  Will You Bless The Lord At All Times?  Thought to Remember: This is a question that only you can answer.

Are You Still On Fire For the Lord?

Monday, September 19th, 2016

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Today I have several questions I would like to ask you.  Are you still excited about Christ as you were when you first gave Him your life?  Has your excitement increased?  Are you ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ?  Have you lost your motivation?  Have you forgotten where you were when Christ picked you up?  So often in our lives, we forget the miraculous work God performed in us.  We become successful (in the worldly sense) and act as though we never needed deliverance.  We become high and mighty.  Egotistical and self-righteous.  You no longer engage in simple conversation with friends.  So holy, but no earthly good.  Does this sound like anyone you know?  Does this sound like you?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My friend, Are You Still On Fire For the Lord?  Are you still in love with the Lord?  Have you become what you once hated?  Are you stuck on you?  Do you work for God glory or man’s recognition?  The Bible declares in Revelation 2:4 - Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.  Many times we surround ourselves by people who speak Christ but live demonic.  We know people who claim to love the Lord, but complain about everything the Lord created.  You do know that God loves you … right?  Are You Still On Fire For theLord?  Do you still witness to others about the Lord’s goodness (Acts 1:8)?  Do you still testify about what the Lord has done for you (Revelation 12:11)?  Do people have to pay you to praise the Lord (Luke 19:40)?  Are your sermons on sale (Colossians 3:23)?

My brother, my sister, Are You Still On Fire For the Lord?  Do you still have that glow in your eye?  Do you still get excited when you hear the name JESUS?  Do you still rush to get to church, or do you drag yourself there (Psalms 122:1)?  I understand how it is to get tired at times.  I know how it feels to want to give up.  You feel the weight of the world on your shoulders.  You think no one understands your pain.  Dear friend, you have tried to walk away from the things of God.  You tried to lay in bed longer than usual.  You refused to read your Bible or pray.  (just say ouch!)  The Bible declares in Jeremiah 20:9 - Then I said, I will not make mention of Him, nor speak any more in His name. But His word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay.  You want to quit but you cannot.  You want to walk away but you will not.  Are You Still On Fire For the Lord?  Thought to Remember: The fire within you, should burn for the one who died for you!
