Why Not You?

Thursday, June 30th, 2016

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever wondered if your life was impacting anyone?  Have you ever wondered what God had planned for you and your life?  Currently, things seem uncertain.  The outcome does not seem promising.  So often in our lives, we identify who we are, by what we are currently enduring.  Instead of us controlling our situations, our situations control us.  You have become a victim to your fears and anxieties.  Have you been there?  Are you there now?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  What do you do when you realize God wants to use you?  Do you attempt to run and hide?  Do you stand up and accept His will?  My friend, when God desires to use you, no devil in hell can stand against God’s will.  Are you trying to run from God’s will?  Are you saying, “why me Lord?  Well … Why Not You?  Why can’t God use you?  There is nothing in your past, present or future that God does not know about.  The Bible declares in Isaiah 55:8 - For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.  Before you committed your wrong, God had a plan for your life.  Before you acknowledged who He was, He had a plan for your life.  When you were in the world, God had a plan for your life.

My brother, my sister, Why Not You?  The Bible declares in Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.  You must grow beyond the concerns of other people’s opinions of you.  Someone will always question God’s plan for your life.  Your life is in the palm of God’s hand.  He desires to use you.  Will you let him?  Will you stand for your righteousness sake?  Thought to Remember: No one but Jesus Christ can get you into Heaven!

Swallow Your Pride!

Wednesday, June 29th, 2016

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you been asking God for anything?  Each chance you get, do you remind the Lord about your request?  No matter how impossible it seems, do you still expect God to do it?  So often in our lives, we ask God for whatever we want in life.  No boundaries or hesitations.  If you want it, you ask the Lord for it.  Does this sound like you?  Have you been there?  Are you there now?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  May I ask you a question?  When you ask God for your request, what are your intentions?  Are you sincere or do you want to boast in the face of others?  Will the Lord receive glory?  Many times we ask God for (some)things, but we are to proud to do what the Lord says do to receive it.  We want God to open the windows of Heaven, but we do not want to tithe.  We want God to forgive us, but we do not want to forgive others.  To proud to admit it?  My friend, you must learn to Swallow Your Pride!  The Bible declares in Proverbs 16:18 - Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.  As a child of God, there should be no room in our lives for pride.  When we ask the Lord to bless us, sometimes He may use people to do it.

My brother, my sister, many people miss out on their blessings because pride interrupted the progress.  Swallow Your Pride!  The Bible declares in Proverbs 29:23 - A man’s pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.  The opposite of pride, is humility.  When you are humble, God is able to do great things in your life.  The Bible declares in 1 Peter 5:6 - Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:  What are you believing God for?  Has pride attempted to enter in?  Are you to proud to receive from others?  Swallow Your Pride!  Thought to Ponder:  If your blessing was in the hands of someone else, would you be to proud to receive it?

Get Wisdom, Get Understanding!

Tuesday, June 28th, 2016

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever made a decision without any prior knowledge of what you were deciding on?  Someone was so eager to get you involved that you said, “Yes” without thoroughly thinking it through.  From a distance, they seemed so happy with their decision.  You figured if they were happy with the results so would you.  The pressure from your peers was overbearing.  Everytime you saw them, they wanted you to give them your answer.  Have you been there?  Are you there now?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  So often in our lives, we make life-changing decisions without ever praying first.  We make a mess of our lives because someone talked us into investing time and money.  Supporting your family and friends is a kind gesture.  Wanting to make them happy is as well.  But you must use discernment when making decisions.  My friend, Get Wisdom, Get Understanding!  As children of God, we need to operate in the wisdom of God and with the understanding given by God.  The Bible declares in Proverbs 4:5 - Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.  With the wisdom of God in your life, you will find yourself praying about things before your react to them.  You will seek God first (Matthew 6:33) before you make foolish investments.

My brother, my sister, it is God’s desire for His children to have and life an abundant life.  While living the abundant life, you need to understand that everyone who is with you, is not for you.  Get Wisdom, Get Understanding!  The Bible declares in Proverbs 4:7 - Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.  You cannot effectively manage a business or ministry, without wisdom and understanding.  The effectiveness of your marriage will be hindered, without wisdom and understanding.  Dreams, goals and desires can be blocked, without wisdom and understanding.  Thought to Remember: Before you make any decisions, ask God for wisdom and understanding.

You Are Anointed By God

Monday, June 27th, 2016

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Do you realize God has anointed you?  It is evident in your life.  Things people spend years trying to do, God has enabled you to do … now!  You are often misunderstood, mocked, ridiculed, or even unappreciated.  People see you as a person, not as a vessel for the Lord.  Many see the glory, but never know the story.  Have you been there?  Are you there now?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My friend, You Are Anointed By God!  God’s outpouring is evident in your life.  So often in our lives, we notice God’s anointing on our lives.  We realize the charge God has given unto us.  Out of jealousy or envy, many people attempt to destroy you.  What you have, they want.  Your name is often involved in the latest gossip columns, rumor wheels, or e-mail distributions.  At times in gets difficult.  You want to stop, but you cannot.  The Bible declares in Psalms 105:15 - Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.  You Are Anointed By God!   God has anointed you for His glory, not man’s.

My brother, my sister, you owe no man an apology.  God chose you!  He ordained you to do the work.  The Bible declares in John 15:16 - Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.  You must understand, it is the anointing that destroys the yoke (Isaiah 10:27).   You Are Anointed By God!  What God has placed upon your life, man could never do.  You must go forth in the anointing of the Lord Jesus Christ.  No excuses!  No apologies!  No fear!  Thought to Remember:  God anoints, but man appoints (remember: Man’s appointment can never replace God’s anointing).

God is not Pleased!

Friday, June 24th, 2016

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God. So often in our lives, we find ourselves engaged in relationships and friendships which bring no glory to God. We spend so much time with a person, until all we desire in life is him or her. Whatever makes them happy, usually makes you happy. You attempt to buy their love. You know the relationship is ungodly, but its better than being alone. Right? Wrong! While you spend so much time idolizing the person, place, or thing, you ignore the principles of God. Does this sound like you? Was this ever you?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you. My friend, God is not Pleased with your behavior. When you place something or someone ahead of God, a change will always occur. God has never nor will ever come second to anything or anyone. The Bible declares in Exodus 34:14 - For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.  Before you began to date the person you are now with, God was there. When there was no one who seemed to care for you, God was there. When circumstances were unbearable, God was there. He was the friend you always wanted. The parent you always needed. God is not Pleased! He is not pleased with being overlooked or cast aside. The Bible declares in James 1:8 - A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

How would you feel if your child, whom you loved and cared for, gave their love to someone else. God is not Pleased! He’s not pleased with traditional worship services. He’s not pleased with denominational separation. He’s not pleased with ungodly living. He’s not pleased with outward love but inward hate. So often, we find ourselves adapting to the ways of the world. We know better but we do not do better.  We have become comfortable with our ways. My brother, my sister, today I charge you to live a life that pleases our God. Thought to Remember: Whatever displeases God, should always displease you.

Talk Is Cheap!

Thursday, June 23rd, 2016

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever been around people who always tell you what they’re going to do?  They always have a new invention with no guidelines.  When you express your feelings about something you like, he/she always wants to act as though he/she already has it.  Always talking, never producing.  For years you have heard the same ideas, from the same person, but no results.  Does this sound like anyone you know?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My friend, Talk Is Cheap!  It is imperative that you put actions behind your talk.  The Bible declares in Habakkuk 2:2 - And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.  As children of the Most High God, we are expected to reflect the light of Jesus Christ.  If you ever read about the life and ministry of Jesus Christ, you will notice whatever promises He made, He would always fulfill.  When all you are doing is talking, people begin to avoid and ignore you.  Talk Is Cheap!  Are your actions complimenting your conversation?  Can people see you without ever hearing from you?  (explanation: Can people tell you are saved without you having to tell them?)

My brother, my sister, Talk Is Cheap!  When you are engaged in marital relationships, to hear your spouse say he or she loves you is a wonderful feeling.  It makes you feel wonderful within.  But what do you do when the mouth is saying, “I love you” but the actions are saying, “I hate you?”  To see love in action is what we all desire.  The Bible declares in Romans 5:8 - But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.  For years, you have spoken about the business you would one day start.  You made promises you have not fulfilled.  God has given you songs you have not written yet.  You are always saying what you are going to do, but you have done nothing yet. Why not!  Talk Is Cheap!  Stop talking and start producing!  Thought to Remember:  If you are always talking, then you are never listening!

Do You Love The Lord?

Wednesday, June 22nd, 2016

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Do You Love The Lord?  I mean do you really love the Lord?  Beyond the blessings He has bestowed upon you.  If no more blessings were to come your way, would you still love the Lord?  So often in our lives, we lose sight on who our Father really is.  Before we recognized we had a problem, our Father had a resolution.  Before you knew there was a need, our Father took care of it.  Do You Love The Lord?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  Do You Love The Lord?  If you truly love the Lord, are you living a life which displays your love for Him?  My friend, actions will always speak louder than words.  In our lives, we confess to know a lot.  We have the educational degrees, the ministerial titles, the advanced vocabulary; but in spite of all, do you love the Lord?  The Bible declares in John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  It was the love of our Lord, that allowed Him to endure a cross for our sins.  The Bible declares in Romans 5:8 - But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.   When you think about it, He died for the sins you planned, you thought about doing, and even the ones you were afraid to actually do.

Do You Love The Lord?  Do you live a life which brings pleasure to the Lord?  God desires to give you everything you stand in need of.  The Bible declares in Psalms 34:10 - The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.  So often, we give our best to other people, and give the Lord whatever is left over.  Today, ask yourself this question, DO I TRULY LOVE THE LORD?  Thought to Remember:  The way you feel about the Lord, is shown in your everyday actions.

Tell The Truth and bring Shame to the devil!

Tuesday, June 21st, 2016

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  What do you do when someone you trust has been dishonest with you?  How does it make you feel?  Do you end the friendship?  So often in our lives, we find ourselves on the receiving end of dishonesty.  A person you trusted held back the truth from you.  When you confronted them, more lies were given.  Have you been there?  Are you there now?  Are you the person?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My friend, Tell The Truth, Shame the devil!  When we are dishonest with our brothers and sisters, we give glory to the enemy.  God hates lies and he expects us to hate it as well.  The Bible declares in John 8:44 - Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.  Sometimes you find yourself in positions where telling the truth seems so difficult.  Being dishonest is your first reaction.  Be that as it may, Tell The Truth, Shame the devil!

You must understand who your Father is.  He expects more out of you.  The Bible declares in Proverbs 17:4 - A wicked doer giveth heed to false lips; and a liar giveth ear to a naughty tongue.   Dishonesty never betters anyone.  When a person tells a lie, he/she must continue to lie to cover the first one.  The Bible declares in John 8:32 - And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.  When you find yourself wavering between the two options, always Tell The Truth and bring Shame to the devil!  Thought to Remember: If you hate being lied to, make sure you are not doing what you hate!

Seasons

Monday, June 20th, 2016

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever noticed change occurring in your life?  Things you use to do, you no longer desire to do them.  Places you use to go, you no longer want to go there.  People you always hung with, are no longer apart of your company.  Your reactions are now spirit-led and not flesh-led.  Have you been there?  Are you there now?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My friend, the changes you are experiencing have been designed for your good.  You must learn to walk into your Seasons!  What are seasons?  Seasons are a recurrent period marked by certain occurrences.  The Bible declares in Ecclesiastes 3:1 - To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:  Every Believer must experience his/her own season.  It is during our seasonal changes that we begin to receive the manifestation of God’s power and blessings.  As long as you remain stagnant in your walk with the Lord, you will never position yourself for His purpose.  The Bible declares in 1 Peter 5:6 - Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time (season):

My brother, my sister, be not afraid to walk into your new Seasons!  God desires to take you to new levels in Him.  Its out with the old and in with the new.  I understand how it feels to get comfortable with life.  Things are familiar.  Each day you know what to expect.  Although you feel safe in your comfort zone, what God has ordained for you to do cannot be hidden within comfortable surroundings.  The Bible declares in 2 Timothy 4:2 - Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.  Thought to Remember:  There’s more to you than what you currently see!

Confusion is not of God!

Friday, June 17th, 2016

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you found yourself against a wall?  Without realizing it, you were backed up against it.  You try to figure out what went wrong.  You begin to evaluate your past decisions.  Confusion begins to set in.  You turn to family and friends for advice, but they cannot help you.  Have you been there?  Are you there now?

This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  Has life’s problems held you down?  My friend, you are not the only person facing turmoil.  Times have been hard for others as well.  The enemy desires to confuse you during your testing times.  If he can cause you to doubt the Lord, he will surely try.  During your current situation, always know … Confusion is not of God!  The Bible declares in 1 Corinthians 14:33 - For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.  It is the Lord’s desire to grant you peace during your chaotic times.  When things seem uncertain, obstacles seem to prevail against you, rumors are created to destroy you, the Bible declares in Philippians 4:7 - And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

My brother, my sister, Confusion is not of God!  On your job, God can give you peace.  In your home, God can give you peace.  In your marriage union, God can give you peace.  During financial setbacks, God can give you peace.  When sickness or disease attempts to overtake you, God can give you peace.  The Bible declares in Philippians 4:9 - Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.  Thought to Remember: When everything is going against you, turn to the God of peace (Jehovah Shalom).
