Do Not Worry, Choose To Be Happy!

Friday, January 30th, 2015

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Today, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My brother, my sister, today’s devotional is short but intended to minister to your spirit.  Beloved,

Do Not Worry,

Choose To Be Happy!

(To be happy is a choice we must make each day.  Choose correctly!)  The Bible declares in 1 Peter 4:14 - If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.

There Is Something About Praise!

Thursday, January 29th, 2015

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Today, I woke up physically tired in my body.  While my mind knew it was time to get out of bed, my body was singing a different tune.  After a few minutes of debate, I managed to get my mind and my body on the same page.  Have you ever had a desire to do something awesome but physically your body was not cooperating?  According to Matthew 26:41 - Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.  Have you ever been surrounded by people who spent there time (and possibly yours) griping and moaning about life’s problems?  These people spend every waking moment complaining.

Today, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My friend, There Is Something About Praise!  I have learned that no matter how tired I am physically, the more I praise the Lord the better I begin to feel.  It is amazing when you think about it, but the more you praise the Lord the less you focus on your personal problems or physical weaknesses.  According to Psalms 100:4 - Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.  Do you realize whatever you are dealing with today is minor when placed in the hands of God?  As long as we keep harboring and handling our problems, we will never experience the true power of God in our lives.  Turn it over to Him … for real this time!

My brother, my sister, what are you currently experiencing in your life?  What “hell” are you dealing with?  What dilemmas are you stuck in the middle of?  While I could spend time giving you my personal suggestions, allow me to share something of true essence.  There Is Something About Praise!  There is something that happens within you when you spend your time and energy praising and worshipping God.  Sitting around worrying cannot nor will not add one year to your life (Matthew 6:27).  At some point, you must grow to a point where you know (without a shadow of a doubt) God can and God will.  Beloved, the Bible declares in Isaiah 61:3 - To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

There Is Hope For The Broken Hearted!

Wednesday, January 28th, 2015

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Today, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My brother, my sister, have you ever had your heart broken?  I mean broken to the point that you did not want to go on.  Broken to the point that you questioned ever trusting anyone again?  Broken to the point that you were upset with the Lord.  I remember several occassions in my life where I was left picking up the pieces of my heart.  Please understand, your heart can be broken in more ways than a bad relationship.  One of my worse experiences occurred while serving in ministry.  For some reason I assumed everyone in ministry had a heart for God as I do.  I experienced a rude awakening when I saw someone I admired use ministry for personal gain.  Have you ever been there?

My friend, not everyone can relate to the pain you experience when your heart has been crushed, but I can.  You vow to never trust again, but somehow you do anyway.  You commit to never get close to people again, but being who you are that never last.  Do you realize God has created you to interact with others?  You personally flourish best when you are surrounded by people.  You are not the type who can remain locked in your home.  For those of you who have had your heart broken recently, I have been sent to minister to you.  Beloved, There Is Hope For The Broken Hearted!  The Bible declares in Psalms 147:3 - He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.  No matter how awful the pain is, God is able to heal your heart and bind your wounds.

Today, in stead of hiding from people, ask the Lord to perform spiritual surgery on you.  If you decide to run away and hide, think of the many people you will miss the opportunity to minister to.  Do not give up, just take time to allow God to minister unto you.  Child of God, guess what, There Is Hope For The Broken Hearted!  The Bible declares in Isaiah 53:5 - But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

When Is It My Turn?

Tuesday, January 27th, 2015

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever watched other people experience overflow in their lives?  It appeared as if everytime they turned around something awesome was happening in their lives.  Whether they expect it or not, the blessings keep coming.  Have you ever felt as if even the unfaithful, unbelieving and unrighteous seem to be prospering in life?  No matter how faithful you are, no matter how consistent you are with your tithes, no matter how willing you are in life, your well still appears dry while “so and so” is living how he/she wants and resources never run out.  Have you ever been there?  Are you there now?

Today, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My friend, have you ever asked God that one heart-burning question: “When Is It My Turn?”  After careful consideration, days of wondering and nights of crying, you finally had the strength and gall to ask the question.  As much as you love God, within you feel overlooked.  You feel as if God is being unfair (Romans 2:11).  (Be honest with yourself!)  I have been there.  I am young but I have been through a lot.  I remember asking God this question after watching everyone around me enjoy increase but me.  During my sophomore year in college, my three roommates never suffered lack or want while I scraped just to buy noodles.  I remember being mad at God and He directed me to His word.  The Bible declares in Psalms 37:1-2 - Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.  2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

My brother, my sister, are you inwardly mad at God?  Has your anger and disappointment caused you to stray from church, reading your Bible or trusting God for a breakthrough?  I know how easy it is to fake like everything is well, but lets be real.  Is your heart still pumping after God?  Are you still asking that question, “When Is It My Turn?”  Beloved, you must understand God knows when the timing is right.  Right before you breakdown, He will always send a breakthrough.  King David wrote in Psalms 37:25 - I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.  Child of God, from this day forth, stop asking when it will be your turn.  Start preparing yourself for your turn.  I would hate for your turn to come and you are not ready because of your constant complaining.

God Is Up To Something!

Monday, January 26th, 2015

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Today I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My brother, my sister, today’s devotional will be a little different.  I feel directed by the Holy Spirit to talk to you today.  Over the almost 13 years the Meditation Moments with Minister McGhee have been circulated, God has shown Himself to be faithful.  From day one the devotionals have always been about God and for His glory.  Never did I expect so many people would become recipients of the devotionals.  The first devotionals were sent to fellow church members and friends on July 7, 2003, just to encourage them.  I never knew what God was up to.  Today, I can testify that even when you have no idea how you will make it … God Is Up To Something!   I am a living witness that God will never suffer the righteous to be moved.  The Bible declares in Psalms 37:25 - I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

Today, what are you believing God for?  What dilemma are you asking God to help you get out of?  What decision are you forced to make today?  What relationship are you trying to get out of?  My friend, God desires to help you out.  Even when everything and everyone around you are causing “hell,” God is able to intervene and interrupt the plan of the devil.  Do not give up on your dreams.  Do not doubt the promises of God.  If God said He would do it, you can bank on it.  The Bible declares in Numbers 23:19 - God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?  Beloved, God Is Up To Something!  Just wait patiently and see what it is!

FYI: From day one, I told God if He would keep speaking, I would keep typing.  I told Him, whenever He stopped speaking, I would stop typing (the devotionals.)  Each day He has kept His Word.  He can be trusted!

When All You Have Left is Your Faith

Friday, January 23rd, 2015

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  So often in our lives, we find ourselves in the place of unfamiliar.  Our surroundings are different.  The people we grew accustom to are no longer present.  You feel alone.  No one seems to understand you or your thoughts.  On your job, things seem worse than ever before.  You think of moving on, but you have not.  Your marriage started out wonderful, but now you feel unappreciated.  Finances are at an all-time low.  Suicidal thoughts bombard your mind.  Your last doctor’s visit was not favorable.  Have you been there?  Are you there now?

Today, I have been commissioned to come and encourage you in the Lord Jesus Christ.  My friend, I can relate!  I understand how it feels to be surrounded by faithless, judging people.  I can recall a time when my ministry was unappreciated by others.  I remember times of low finances.  Today, be encouraged in the Lord.  When All You Have Left is Your Faith, you are in the right position.  In life, you can lose everything of worldly value, but as long as you keep your faith you can regain more than you ever lost.  The Bible declares in Hebrews 11:6 - But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

My brother, my sister, When All You Have Left is Your Faith, learn to operate in it.  Learn to step out on it.  The Lord knows your past, present, and future troubles.  He knows you.  What portion of your life seems unchangeable?  Have you lost everything?  Are you without employment?  Without shelter?  Without finances?  Without transportation?  Without peace?  By faith, place your impossible situation in the hands of God.  Release it over to Him and watch Him move.  Never has the Lord lost a case.  Never has He failed.  Never has He stumbled.  Never has the devil overtaken Him.  The Bible declares in Psalms 118:8 - It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.  Point to Remember:  Whatever you do, do not lose your faith!

No Résumé Required

Thursday, January 22nd, 2015

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  There have been times in my life when I wondered why God called me into ministry.  Knowing all the mistakes I have made in my life, I find it strange that God would still want to use me.  In 30+ years of living I have said many things I should not have, I have been places I should not have, I have thought things I should not have and I have done things I should not have.  The love of God is so real to me.  To think how God could know your sins and still hand select you for great works is amazing.  Child of God, do you realize how much God truly loves you?  In spite of the errors you have committed, the Lord still has an assignment on your life.  WOW!

Today, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  Think about your life and the many sins you have committed.  Think about the poor decisions you have made.  Think about the things you knowingly did wrong.  Think about the time and energy you spent planning to do wrong.  Think about the times the Holy Spirit convicted you of your plans and you still went through with them.  Are you thinking back over things now?  Guess what? God knew all about it and He still chose you.  My friend, the next time someone questions your integrity, your anointing and/or your calling, respond by telling them, “No Résumé Required.”  The Bible declares in 1 Corinthians 1:27 - But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

My brother, my sister, stop allowing the opinions of people to detour you from your destiny.  Stop allowing the lies of your peers to alter your progress.  Stop allowing the mistakes of yesterday to cloud the achievements of today and the successes of tomorrow.  God knew what He was doing when He selected you.  He knew what you were doing, what you had done and what you could potentially do.  Beloved, let your haters know, No Résumé Required.  God did not ask you to interview for the calling.  He picked who He wanted.  The Bible declares in Matthew 22:14 - For many are called, but few are chosen.  From this day forward, walk in the power God has invested in you.  HALLELUJAH!

Help Someone Who Is Down and Out!

Wednesday, January 21st, 2015

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever found yourself battling depression in your life?  Although everything in your life appears in order, you are still unhappy.  From the outside looking in, people wonder what’s wrong with you.  Have you ever had suicidal thoughts running through your head?  Never, in the past, have you thought about doing harm to yourself but lately the thoughts continue to come.  You carry a fake smile.  Act the way people expect you to, even when it is outside of your character.  Have you ever wondered why you continue to get out of bed each day?  The devil has polluted your head to think people do not love you.  Have you been there?  Are you there now?

Today, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  Do you realize the Lord loves you?  Yes life can be hard at times, but God still loves you.  Yes you make mistakes, but God still loves you.  Yes you experience hurt at the hands of someone else, but God still loves you.  Do you realize someone, somewhere is currently enduring what the Lord brought you out of?  This person is in need of your assistance.  They need to know God can bring them out as well.  You need to stop listening to satan.  he is a liar (John 8:44).  Your testimony is important.  Your life can impact someone else for the glory of God.  My friend, Help Someone Who Is Down and Out!  The Bible declares in Proverbs 18:24 - A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

My brother, my sister, when was the last time you told someone about the goodness of Jesus?  When was the last time you put your agenda on hold to aid someone else?  When was the last time you went outside your comfort zone to help the hurting?  When was the last time you encouraged your brother or sister … whether you knew them or not?  If you are having a hard time answering this question, its not to late to start.  Beloved, Help Someone Who Is Down and Out!  The Bible declares in John 15:13 - Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.  Child of God, there’s a single parent out there that needs to know God is able.  There is a young lady or young man who needs to know God is still healing the sick.  There’s someone out there that needs to know God specializes in the things, which seem impossible.  Today, make a difference!

One Thing

Now Is The Time,

Where You Are Is The Place and

God Is The One Who Will Do It!

Stop worrying about when it will happen, where it will happen and how it will happen.  God has everything under control.  Just trust in Him.  Have a great day child of God!  The Bible declares in Psalms 37:23 - The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.

Learn How To Wait, …

Friday, January 16th, 2015

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Today, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you. My friend, God’s delay does not mean God’s denial.  Before you decide to throw in the towel, make sure you are not giving up too soon.  The Bible declares in Isaiah 40:31 - But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Beloved,

Learn How To Wait, Even When You Do Not Want To!

Your lack of patience can destroy the blessing(s) God has in store for you.  Remember this: Every person who comes to the emergency room is required to sit in the waiting room.  While it may appear the personnel is operating very slow, eventually they will get to you.  If you leave without being cared for, then one has to ask how serious was your matter.  KEY NOTE: If you really need it, you will wait on it.
