Pause, Reflect, Acknowledge and Give Thanks.

Wednesday, December 31st, 2014

Good Morning,

On this last day of 2014, I have some closing advice for you:

Pause, Reflect, Acknowledge and Give Thanks.

After all you’ve been through this year, you need to PAUSE on this last day and REFLECT on how awesome God has been to and for you. Upon the reflecting, it should lead you to ACKNOWLEDGE Him in all your ways. When you begin to acknowledge the Lord in all your ways, you automatically feel the unction to GIVE Him THANKS and praise.

Maybe God’s Trying To Tell You Something!

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Today, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My brother, my sister, just because you are experiencing unpleasant events in your life does not mean it is the devil everytime.  While it is true that the devil attacks Christians, there are times when it is not him (yes, this is true.)  Please do not misunderstand what I am saying.  Never would I support or advocate for the devil, but I have grown to understand he can do nothing without permission from God.  Could it be possible that the thing causing you the most trouble is really a message from God?  Could it be possible that the people giving you the most headaches are actually on an assignment?  Could it be possible that the places you dread going are actually a part of God’s divine plan?

The Bible declares in Proverbs 16:9 - A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.  My friend, God knows you would love to have days without challenges.  He knows you would really appreciate working with people you get along with.  He knows you desire to enjoy one day without drama?  But could it be possible that God is using each of these components to bring the best out of you?  Truthfully speaking, your anointing functions better when it is under pressure.  Beloved, do not think every negative event is an attack to destroy you,

We Need God, He Does Not Need Us!

Tuesday, December 23rd, 2014

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Many times in our lives, we ask God for certain things we feel are important.  No matter how bizarre the request may seem, we still take it upon ourselves to ask the Lord because we know if anyone can … He can.  Have you ever gone to the Lord in prayer and it appeared as if God was ignoring you?  The more you prayed, the quieter the voice of God was.  You know He is omnipresent, but for some reason you cannot trace Him.  Have you ever wondered why God does not answer you the way you would like?  If only God would honor each of your request, you would be satisfied … so you think.  It is amazing to hear some people pray.  Their prayers are centered around them.  They never pray for anyone else.  Does this sound like you?

Today, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  Do you realize during the quiet times, when it seems as if God is ignoring you, He is up to something?  Just because He does not come running when you expect Him to does not mean He has not heard your request.  Truthfully speaking, we often confuse God with the average man.  We assume God is under our control.  We assume He comes running when we say so.  We talk to Him any kind of way.  NOT!  My friend, We Need God, He Does Not Need Us!  The Bible declares in Genesis 1:1 - In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.  Never allow your flesh to confuse you.  We are who we are, where we are, and we have what we have because of God’s love and faithfulness toward us.  One of the greatest mistakes we could ever make is to act as if we do not need God in our lives.

My brother, my sister, I care not what the atheist say.  I care not what the scholars argue.  I care not what anthropologist say.  I know God is real and His faithfulness is real.  Be not deceived, the crowd only yells for you when what you are doing makes them look good or feel good.  Today they will cry out “Hosanna” and tomorrow the same crowd will yell, “Crucify Him!”  Think about your life, how often do you stop and express your appreciation to the Lord.  If God does not answer your prayer request, will you still bless His name?  If He takes His time granting your petition, will you still live for Him?  Beloved, We Need God, He Does Not Need Us!  The Bible declares in Psalms 34:1 - I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

Faith Under Pressure!

Monday, December 22nd, 2014

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Today, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My brother, my sister, have you ever had your faith tested?  Have you ever found yourself in a position where all you had was faith?  Your head knowledge was not enough.  Your contacts were not good enough. Recently, I experienced a scary event.  An event that forced my faith to put up or shut up.  Do you realize life will throw something at each of us that will force us to live what we confess?  There will come a time when we must walk out what we tell other people to do.  Life will hand each of us something that will cause us to trust God or break down.  The Bible declares in Hebrews 11:1 - Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Beloved, today, I want to encourage you to have …

Faith Under Pressure!

You must have the kind of faith that looks at obstacles and still know God is able to bring you through.  The type of faith that can speak to any mountain and see it move!  No longer can we tell others to trust God if we are not willing to do so as well.  Today, God is looking for children who will trust Him in the good and the bad.  Do you qualify?

Don’t Give Up … Grow Up!

Friday, December 19th, 2014

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.   When was the last time you endured a life changing test?  A test that caused you to do a self- evaluation.  A test that placed the mirror in front of you.  A test that no one could pass for you.  A test that dropped you to your knees.  When was the last time you believed in yourself?  Believed when no one else did.  Believed when everything seemed uncertain and unclear.  When was the last time you apologized?  Apologized for disrespecting someone.  Apologized for lying on or gossiping about someone.  Apologized for not offering to assist when you had the resources they needed.  When was the last time you thanked the Lord for being faithful toward you?  Faithful when you were not.  Faithful when no one else was.  Faithful when the pressure was against you.  When was the last time you encouraged yourself?  Or the last time you treated yourself well?

Today, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  In life, there are times when we are faced with ourselves.  Times when we are forced to evaluate everything in our lives.  The good and the bad.  The highs and the lows.  The trials and the triumphs.  There are times when we have to trust the Lord in the middle of the storm.  During these times in our lives, the Lord is not trying to destroy you.  He desires for us to mature to new levels.  The tests are not designed for us to quit, but grow.  My friend, when you realize the areas that need improvement, Don’t Give Up … Grow Up!  The Bible declares in 1 Corinthians 13:11 - When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.  There comes a time when we must put away childish things.  Things that cause us to act against God.  Things that cause tantrums or complaining.  When you realize you are not perfect, as you thought, Don’t Give Up … Grow Up!

My brother, my sister, how can you effectively minister to the next generation if you are not willing to grow?  How can you constructively criticize your neighbor, when you are unwilling to be criticized (Matthew 7:1-5)?  The Bible declares in Hebrews 5:13 - For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.  Beloved, Don’t Give Up … Grow Up!  There comes a time when you must correct what is wrong (2 Timothy 3:16).  Stand for what is right.  Pray for those who despitefully use you (Matthew 5:44).  Today, do you notice areas in your life which need growth?  Do you notice faults needing improvement or sins needing repentance?  The Lord has a purpose for your life.  None are without sin (Romans 3:23).  Think on this question: What prevents you from growing up?  Every test we endure is designed to mature and strengthen us.  Don’t Give Up … Grow Up!  Prayer for Today: Father, in my life, I see  areas that need growth.  Help me grow up and not give up.  As I grow, allow me to be a witness to others.  In Jesus’ name … Amen!

There Is None Like The Lord!

Thursday, December 18th, 2014

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  So often in our lives, we find ourselves admiring people, places and things.  Our marriages and/or relationships are filled with so much love and trust.  It seems as though the more you are with the person, the harder it is for you to leave their presence.  Maybe its your new car, or your new job, or your new home.  Whatever it may be, you find yourself engulfed in it.  You’re always thinking about it.  There are times you find yourself day-dreaming about it.  You have a hard time imagining life without this person or this thing. Have you been there?  Are you there now?

Today, I have been commissioned to come and set the record straight. My friend, There Is None Like The Lord!  There’s no comparison to the love God has for you.  It matters not how other people, places or things make you feel.  God’s presence, power, love, protection, peace and friendship has no comparison.  No one can compare to Him.  No “idol” can survive His presence.  The Bible declares in Philippians 2:10-11 - That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth. 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.  He is Lord of all!

My brother, my sister, what are you currently faced with today?  What storm have you found yourself in?  Who lied on you?  Who betrayed you?  What trap has satan set for you?  What hurdle do you have in front of you?  What mountain stands between you and God’s promise?  Whatever the case may be, today I come to tell you, There Is None Like The Lord!  What God is able to do for you, no person, place or thing will ever be able to measure up to it.  Stop worrying.  Stop wavering in your faith.  Stop sweating the small stuff.  The Bible declares in Psalms 118:8 - It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.  Point to Remember:  Before you encountered the storm in your life, God already created shelter for you.

Your Grass Is Also Green!

Wednesday, December 17th, 2014

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever wondered why God continues to use you, even though He knows you have the potential to ruin everything?  Have you ever wondered what God sees in you that sometimes you do not see in yourself?  Have you ever wondered why God refuses to give up on you, even when you desire to give up on yourself?  Have you ever wondered why God continues to make a way of escape for you, even though you continue to put yourself in compromising situations?  So often in our lives, we lose sight of the true love God has for us.  Sometimes we confuse God’s love for us with man’s love for us.  While man may love you, its all conditional.  However, God’s love for us is unconditional (no matter what condition you are in, He still loves you.)

Today, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  Do you realize there are people who idolize your life?  They see the car you drive, the home you reside in, the clothes you wear, the salary you make, the spouse on your arm and they want the same thing.  Little do they know, everything that appears good is not always good.  Be careful not to covet your neighbor’s house.  On the outside, their home may appear better than yours but within it may be a den of thieves.  My friend, Your Grass Is Also Green!  For some reason we have this false belief that someone else has something better than us.  Just because their grass appears greener than yours, does not mean your grass is dead … it just needs more water.  The Bible declares in Philippians 4:6 - Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

My brother, my sister, today’s devotional is not designed to confuse you.  To the contrary, it is designed to make you realize what you have is a blessing.  Sometimes we become so consumed with what “so and so” has until we forget what we have is also a blessing.  Stop living your life through or by someone else.  What God gave you is just as important as what He gave the next person.  Beloved, Your Grass Is Also Green!  The Bible declares in Romans 2:11 - For there is no respect of persons with God.  As today unfolds, take the time to evaluate all the many things God has entrusted to you.  Think about the things you begged for and received.  Think about the things you wanted so bad and now you complain about.  Allow me to ask you, has the blessing lost its importance or have you lost yours?

Will You Stand?

Tuesday, December 16th, 2014

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Today, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My brother, my sister, as I was sitting at the computer hearing from the Lord about several matters, He asked me a very important question.  After answering the question, I was charged with posing the same question to you.  Do you realize we spend so much of our days and nights attempting to please people who will never like us?  Whether you accept the fact or not, there are some people who dislike you and would love to see you fall.  No matter what they do or how they do it, you must still press forward.  Now, having said that, the question today is …

Will You Stand For God In 2015?

Even when no one else will stand with you.  Even when satan sends attacks from every side?  Even when you cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel?  Even when threats are sent against you.  Will you say, “YES?”

Always Keep A Smile on Your Face!

Monday, December 15th, 2014

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Today, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My brother, my sister, I want to take this time and offer one simple suggestion.  As the day unfolds, …

  • There will be hurdles to leap over
  • There will be obstacles to overcome
  • There will be co-workers to deal with
  • There will be attacks to deal with
  • There will be lies told to tear you down
  • There will be gossip sent to pollute you
  • There will be rumors sent to distract you
  • There will be traps set to destroy you
  • There will be mountains to climb
  • There will be tears to wipe away
  • There will be e-mails to disregard

In spite of all that takes place today, I encourage you to …

Always Keep A Smile on Your Face!

Your ability to smile when everything seems out of control sends a message to God that you trust Him and sends a message to satan that you will not give up.

All You Do Should Be For God’s Glory!

Friday, December 12th, 2014

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever met someone who acted as if the world could not function without them?  Their attitude was nasty.  You could barely hold a conversation with them.  No matter what efforts you made to develop a camaraderie, this person made it almost impossible for you to coexist with them.  Do you know someone or know of someone who treats everyone as if their less than them?  Whatever you have, they make sure you know they had it first or what they have is better.  This person is stuck on ’self!’  Their comfort comes in knowing what they have no one else does.  Isn’t it amazing to see or meet people who act as if what they have came without God’s help?  Just selfish for no reason.

Today, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My friend, All You Do Should Be For God’s Glory!  No matter how people speak about me, I understand it is all possible because of who God is.  Be careful not to behave as if God needs you.  While God does use us, He could always find someone else to do what it is you currently do now.  We all can be replaced.  The Bible declares in Proverbs 16:18 - Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.  Child of God, beware of people who are stuck on themselves.  According to scripture, this person’s steps are numbered.  God will never bless you with anything unless He is assured glory and credit will be given unto Him.

My brother, my sister, what are you praying for?  What have you been asking God to do in your life?  What are your motives?  Is your request surrounded around your ego?  Will the Lord receive any recognition?  Many people pray with ulterior motives.  They sound so sincere to the natural ear, but the Lord discerns the intents of their heart (Hebrews 4:12).  Beloved, All You Do Should Be For God’s Glory!  The Bible declares in Proverbs 18:12 - Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honour is humility.  Could it be possible that what you are asking God for is only for your gain and no one else’s?  Just think about it!  As you go forth today, make sure you give glory, honor and praise to the rightful owner … Almighty God.
